Special Meeting - August 11, 1970 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 7:30 <br />P. M., in Room 1308 County City Building. Present were Lloyd S. Taylor, City Engineer, <br />and S. J. Crumpacker, City Attorney. <br />Also present at the meeting were John Worley of Clyde E. Williams and <br />Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, Calvin L. Frappier, Pollution Control <br />Officer of the St. Joseph County Health Department, and 12 interested residents. <br />HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3321.9 1970 - BEALE STREET SEWER <br />This being the date set for hearing on Improvement Resolution No. 3321, 1970, <br />being for the improvement of Beale Street, from Cushing Street to Riverside <br />Drive, by constructing a local sanitary sewer, the Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on <br />July 24 and July 31, 1970, which were read and found to be proper. <br />Mr. Taylor, Chairman of the meeting, explained that following the rescinding on <br />June 22, 1970, of Improvement Resolution No. 3316, 1970, being for the improve- <br />ment of Beale Street from Cushing Street to Riverside Drive by constructing a <br />local sewer, further complaints of unsanitary conditions having been received <br />and the St. Joseph County Health Department having ;:certified that'a health hazard <br />exists, this hearing is held for the further consideration of the installation <br />of a sanitary sewer. <br />After hearing all persons who wished to speak, the matter was taken under advise- <br />ment by the Board. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at 8:25 P.M. <br />bef 91��CrumpackeV <br />1 <br />
