6/1/70 <br />Ulm <br />1 <br />1 <br />water and sewer lines, including both sanitary and storm, <br />with appropriate manholes, feeders, and other necessary and <br />usual appurtenances thereto, including the perpetual right <br />to enter upon the property hereinafter described at any time <br />it may see fit, under, along, through, over and across the <br />following described property owned by the grantor in the <br />City of South Bend, Township of Portage, County of St. Joseph <br />and State of Indiana, to -wit: <br />"Beginning on a line 273.0 feet south of the south line of <br />Colfax Avenue and 167.9 feet west of the west line of Ginz <br />Avenue, measured parallel with Colfax Avenue; thence south- <br />easterly to a point on the north line of Washington Avenue <br />130.0 feet west of the west line of Ginz Avenue; thence west <br />along the north line of Washington Avenue 20.1 feet; thence <br />northwesterly to a point which is 273.0 feet south of the <br />south line of Colfax Avenue and 188.0 feet west of the west <br />line of Ginz Avenue; thence east along a line 273.0 feet south <br />of and parallel to the south line of Colfax Avenue 20.1 feet <br />to the place of beginning" <br />Thereupon, the motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried, to award <br />contract for the construction of a sanitary sewer, and al,l appurtenances <br />thereto, on Washington Street, from Niles Avenue to the St. Joseph River, to <br />Bradberry Brothers on its low bid of $15,363.00. <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED - ALLEY BETWEEN HOLLYWOOD PLACE AND INGLEWOOD <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, plans and specifications <br />for the improvement of the alley between Hollywood Place and Inglewood Place, <br />from Woodlawn to Oakwood, by constructing a Class C, Type I, concrete pavement, <br />were approved by the Board. <br />CONTRACTORS' BONDS <br />Contractor's bond on behalf of Bud's Concrete Contractor to 4/10/71 was <br />approved by the Board and ordered filed. <br />Contractor's bond on behalf of Edward H. Raymond to 4/6/71 was approved <br />by the Board and ordered filed. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND CANCELLED - DONALD FLANNERY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved cancellation of <br />Contractor's Bond ##1 361 160 of the Ohio Casualty Insuranc a Company on behalf <br />of Donald Flannery as of May 27, 1970, insofar as any work done after that <br />date is concerned. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 5/21/70 to 5/27/70 were ordered <br />filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at 11:15 A.M. <br />r <br />f' James A. ickel <br />
