<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:30
<br />A.M., on March 23, 1970, with all members present.
<br />OPEN BIDS FOR TEMPORARY LOAN WARRANTS
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for temporary loan warrants in an
<br />amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00, evidencing a temporary loan for the General
<br />Fund of the City of South Bend, to be dated April 1, 1970, payable in one lump sum
<br />on or before the 31st day of July, 1970, notice of publication in the South
<br />Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on March 13 and March 20, 1970, were read
<br />and found to be sufficient. The following bids were received:

<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the offer of First Bank
<br />and Trust Company of South Bend for the temporary loan of $1,000,000.00 at
<br />an interest rate of 4.25% was accepted as the lowest and best bid received.
<br />OPEN BIDS FOR DRAPERIES - COUNTY CITY BUILDING
<br />This being the date set for eeceiving bids for draperies for City offices on
<br />the 4th, 12th, 13th and 14th floors of the County City Building, the Clerk
<br />tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the
<br />Tri County News on March 13 and March 20, 1970, which were read and found to
<br />be proper. The following bids were received:
<br />City Awning Company, 14222 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, Indiana. The bid was
<br />accompanied by certified check in the amount of $657.29 and non collusion
<br />affidavit signed by D. G. Heamer and properly notarized. The bid was not
<br />submitted on the required bid form (Form No. 95).
