SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 8, 1972
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was held on
Tuesday, August 8, 1972 at 7:30 P.M. Present were William J. Richardson,
City Engineer and Charles A. Sweeney, Jr., City Attorney. The meeting
was called to order by Mr. Richardson, who acted as Chairman.
Mr. Richardson explained the legal rights under Barrett Law to the
.citizens present. There was a short question and answer period.
Mr. Gerald Phipps, of Clyde Williams and Associates, was introduced.
He explained the physical features of the project, the improvement
of the alleys between Inglewood Place and Hollywood Place from Oak-
wood Boulevard to Lathrop Street under Improvement Resolution No. 3366,
1972, in detail. A question and answer period followed. At this
time a remonstrance, containing fifteen signatures, was filed with
the Board.
Then Mr. Phipps explained the physical features of the project, the
improvement of North Ironwood Drive from approximately 200 feet South
of Bader Avenue to Corby Street, under Improvement Resolution No.
3365,1972, in detail. A question and answer period followed. There
was a question of identifying the speakers, and the chair ruled that
at no time in the previous hearing had an Identifying of speakers
been required and therefore the same procedure was followed as had
been followed in the previous matter and the rest of the meeting.
The remonstrators were present in person and by counsel.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion
made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 P.M.
Charles A.
