<br />The total cost of said improvement, including all incidental
<br />costs such as advertising, abstracting, inspection and engineering,
<br />shall be assessed upon the real estate abutting on said alleys to, be
<br />improved, in accordance with applicable statutes. The said improvement
<br />is to be financed and paid for as provided in Chapter 40, of the Acts
<br />of 1953, as amended (1971 1.C. 1.8-6-3). Assessments, if deferred are to
<br />be paid in five (5) equal installments, with interest at the rate of six
<br />(6) per cent per annum.
<br />The 8th day of August, 1972, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M.
<br />local time, is hereby gixed as the time, and the office of the Board in said City
<br />as the place, when and where all persons whose property may be affected
<br />by such proposed improvement, may be heard.as to the necessity for the
<br />same, and all petitions and remonstrances received and the Board will,
<br />on said day, decide whether the benefits accruing to the abutting and
<br />adjacent property, and to the City of South Bend, Indiana, will be equal
<br />to or exceed the.estimated cost of said improvement. The Clerk of the
<br />Board is hereby ordered to give notice to two weekly publications, of the
<br />time and place of hearing of this resolution.

<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved a
<br />Contract for.Engineering and inspection Service for project Indiana E-3,
<br />with Rieth-Riley Construction Company for grading, curbs, bituminous
<br />paving and sidewalks, for $247,625.00.
<br />CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION SERVICES PROJECT INDIANA E-5
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved a
<br />Contract for -Engineering and Inspection Service for Project Indiana E-5
<br />with Rieth-Riley Construction Company for the construction of streets,
<br />curbs and sidewalks in the amount of $86,462.50
<br />CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION SERVICES PROJECT INDIANA R-66
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved a
<br />contract for Engineering and Inspection Services for Project Indiana R-66
<br />with Morse Electric Company for Phase D in the amount of $i75,781.63.
<br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
<br />Street Light Outage Reports for a period of 6/26/72 to 7/5/72 were
<br />approved and ordered filed.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion
<br />made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adi urned at 11:10 A.M.
