.. w . <br />25 <br />r_4 <br />2f� <br />w <br />Ll <br />1 <br />March 28, 1972 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety was convened <br />on Tuesday, March 28, 1972 at 9:30 A.M. Present were Charles A. <br />Sweeney, Jr., City Attorney, Chairman of the Board; William J. Richardson, <br />City Engineer and James V, Barcome, City Controller. Also present <br />were Chief Robert Seals, Attorney Irving J. Smith and Robert Parker <br />for the City of South Bend, and William Vessele Stoynoff. <br />The meeting was called to hear charges against Corporal William <br />Vessele Stoynoff. <br />Comes now Irving J. Smith, Attorney for Corporal Stoynoff, and presents <br />the following petition: <br />MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />BEFORE THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />IN THE MATTER OF <br />William Vessele Stoynoff <br />PETITION <br />COMES NOW, Wiliiam.Vessele Stoynoff, and requests the Board of Public <br />Works and Safety: <br />1. That the City of -South -Bend produce copies of any and all <br />documents and subject matter involved In the pending action, including <br />the evidence of documents, statements, identity and whereabouts of <br />persons having any knowledge of this matter, and said information <br />having been given to the Board, the Chief of Police, or any of his <br />subordinate officers, of any matters Involved In this cause, including <br />the personal file of said William Vessele Stoynoff since the time of <br />his appointment to the South Bend P611ce Department, and all items <br />contained therein. <br />2. That the .City of South Bend produce a list of any and all <br />witnesses to be used in said hearing against the said William Vessele <br />Stoynoff, and that same be made available to the said William Vesseile <br />Stoynoff at an adequate time before said hearing in order to give him <br />the opportunity of proper preparation. <br />s/ William Vessele Stoynoff. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried the above petition was taken <br />uder advisement with a ruling to be made Eater this week. <br />A hearing on the charges against Corporal William Vessele Stoynoif <br />was set for Wednesday, April 5, 1972 at 9:30 A.M. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the meeting wa adjourned at 9:45 A.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />/ JJ*es V.
