2 ,` J 4s. <br />2/7/72 <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports were ordered filed for the period of 1/28/72 <br />to 2/3/72. <br />STATEMENT ON JANITORIAL SERVICES <br />Mr. William Richardson, City Engineer, made the statement that the bid <br />for Janitorial Services for the Municipal Services Facility was awarded <br />to the Eder -Bailie Company because they are a National Service and have <br />much experience in this sort of work, and the Board, consequently, felt <br />they were better equipped to do the work than the other companies bidding, <br />and not because there was any dissatisfaction with any company. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting,_ <br />upon motion made, seconded and caYrio,l umc nr1 initrncrl At t 1 •2S A M <br />ATTEST: - <br />Clerk <br />Special Meeting February 9, 1972 <br />A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at <br />10:05 A.M. on Wednesday, February 9, 1972. Present were William J. <br />Richardson, City Engineer and James V. Barcome, City Controller. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />The following letter was presented to 'the Board: <br />February 9, 1972 <br />Board of Public Works and Safety, <br />Attention: William Richardson, City Engineer: <br />County City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Sir: <br />Division Chief Frank Arsenault will appear in my behalf requesting the <br />use of condemned houses loeated at 1809, 1813 and 1821 Randolph Street, <br />this City, by the Police Department for training purposes. <br />The subject locations will be used to mount crime -scene problems <br />involved in the training of the Felony Squad personnel and the inser- <br />tion of projectiles into wall areas, wood trim, etc., as evidence <br />involved in such training problems will undoubtedly be used. <br />Police Department personnel will contact neighboring residents for the <br />purpose of advising them of the activities, to prevent any unseemly re- <br />action to the appearances of police personnel. <br />The consideration of the Board of Public Works and Safety in this matter <br />will be sincerely appreciated. <br />Respectfully yours, <br />1 <br />s/ Robert W.
