<br />613-615-617 W. LaSalle Street Leo J. Luzney, Precinct Committeeman, 2nd
<br />District, 7th Precinct, 322 Kuntsman Court,.South Bend, Indiana, files with
<br />the Board a complaint against three homes at 613-615-617 W. LaSalle Street
<br />and against a six apartment house in Kuntsman Court,.signed by 17 persons,
<br />complaining of weeds and sub -standard conditions of the structures. Upon
<br />motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was referred to the Sub -Standards
<br />Department to contact the owners for some immediate action to improve the
<br />appearance of the properties.
<br />1813 Robinson Street. Mr. Liszewski reports this property vacant. A letter
<br />from Charles W. Hahn under date of /15/71 in reference to the property was
<br />referred to the Sub -Standards Director for appropriate action.
<br />OLD FIRE STATION #10
<br />Paul Cornell, Executive Director of A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc., who appeared before
<br />the Board,` was referred to Mr. Brownell, Personnel and Purchasing Director,
<br />for further information in reference to available space in old Fire Station
<br />#10 at 1820 S. Michigan Street.
<br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3330, 1970 - ALLEYS
<br />BETWEEN HUEY AND O'BRIEN STREETS
<br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Improve-
<br />ment Resolution No. 3330, 1970, for the improvement 6f the alley between Huey
<br />and O'Brien Street from Humboldt Street north to the tee and the east -west
<br />alley from Huey to O'Brien Street by constructing a Class C Type I pavement.
<br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune
<br />and the Tri County News on September 10 and September 17, 1971, which were
<br />read and found to be sufficient.
<br />Mrs. Victor Thomas, 1347 N. O'Brien Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared
<br />before the Board and objected to their assessment. No other person appeared.
<br />The assessment against the property of Victor Thomas was found to be proper.
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assessment roll
<br />adopted September 7,.1971, was in all things confirmed.
<br />IRONWOOD DRIVE SIDEWALK ,BADER TO ROCKNE
<br />Mrs. Joseph Csiszar, Safety Chairman of the South Bend Area Council Parent-
<br />Teacher Association, 635 S. Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before
<br />the Board and filed with the Board a written complaint in reference to the
<br />lack of a sidewalk on Ironwood Drive, between the 600 and 900 blocks.
<br />Following discussion, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter
<br />was taken under advisement for one week.

<br />Lloyd S. Taylor, City Engineer, files assessment roll showing award of damages
<br />and assessment of benefits in Vacation Resolution No. 3344, being for the vacation
<br />of:
<br />Portions of streets and alleys in LaSalle Park, all within
<br />the recorded Third Plat of Summit Place Addition, a Sub-
<br />division in the northwest Quarter of the southwest Quarter
<br />of Section 10, Township 37 north, Range 2 east, as follows:
<br />(1) Kankakee Avenue between the west line of the north -south
<br />alley west of Kaley Street and the east line extended northerly
<br />of Lot 686.
<br />(2) Kaley Street between 40 feet north of the north line of
<br />Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue.
<br />(3) The north -south alley (between Kaley Street and Meade
<br />Street) between 40 feet north of the north line of Colfax
<br />Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue.
