43-9 <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 28, 1973 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 3:00 p.m, on <br />Friday, December 28, 1973 with Mr. Farrand and Mr. Barcome present. <br />ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT FOR CIVIC CENTER DEVELOPMENT FUND AND RECEIPT OF GIFTS <br />The Board received and signed an addendum to the Agreement of December 27, 1971 <br />for the establishment of a Civic Center Development Donation Fund. The addendum <br />modified Paragrpah 6 from a committed use within five years, or an expiration <br />of December 27, 1976 to a commitment of three years, with an expiration of <br />December 27, 1974. <br />A second donation of $50,000 from the Muessei-Ellison Foundation, for deposit <br />in the Civic Center Development Donation Fund, was accepted by the Board. <br />The Board received an anonymous gift of $25,000 for the purpose of constructing <br />the facility housing the Art Center and Exhibition Center. <br />The Board acknowledged receipt of $45,000 on December 29, 1972 from the Stanley <br />A. and Flora P. Clark Memorial Community Trust Foundation for the express purpose <br />of assisting in constructing the facility for the housing of the Art Center <br />and Exhibition Gallery. <br />The Board received a donation of $87,000 from the Stanley A. and Flora P. Clark <br />Memorial Community Trust Foundation for the express purpose of assisting in <br />constructing the facility for the housing of the Art Center and Exhibition <br />Gallery. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 3:20 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK <br />
