REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 10, 1973
1
C
1
1
RESURFACING OF FOREST AVENUE
Mrs. Eugenia Schwartz, 725 Park Avenue, was present and spoke to the Board.
Mrs. Schwartz represents the Park Avenue Neighborhood Association. She thanked
the Board for their cooperation in helping to retain the residential nature of
the Park Avenue Neighborhood which is bounded by Main Street, Leland Avenue,
Rex Street, Riverside Drive and W. Madison. She said the Association is
interested in continuing to preserve South Bend's heritage and historical value.
They have heard a report that Forest Avenue, which is a brick street, is scheduled
for slurry sealing. The Park Avenue Neighborhood Association wishes to voice
their objection to this proposed slurry sealing or any other paving of Forest
Avenue and asked the Board for a statement on this matter, Mr. Farrand said he
would be glad to check to see whether there is any slurry sealing planned for
Forest Avenue.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made,
seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 9:58 a.m.
ATTES
CLERK
n E. Farrand
ar
