<br />There was a discussion on alternative methods of lighting on Miami Street
<br />from Ridgedale to Alpine Drive. A motion was made and seconded that the
<br />Board authorize the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting to install seven
<br />7,000MV lights (@ $70.00/yr. Mr. Barcome amended the motion to stipulate
<br />that the first of next year -the Bureau look into the possibility of
<br />installing the Tradit<ionaire system from Ridgedale Road to Ireland Road.

<br />U SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - SEWER ON WEST DUBAIL STREET
<br />The title sheet and plans for a sewer on West Dubail Street, near the site of
<br />a proposed truck wash, were presented to the Board and, upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, the Board approved and signed the title sheet.
<br />AGREEMENT WITH MURPHY CONSULTANTS FOR PRELIMINARY PLANS
<br />The Board received an agreement with Murphy Consultants for professional
<br />services for the proposed Michigan Street -Main Street connector. Upon the
<br />recommendation of City Attorney James A. Roemer, the Board approved and
<br />signed the agreement but, upon motion made, seconded and carried, will
<br />request that the consultant prepare an Amendment No. 1 to this Contract
<br />to include an AUDIT CLAUSE which would give the City the right to audit, at
<br />any reasonable time, the billing relating to costs incurred and hours of
<br />work performed. The amendment is to be prepared by the Consultant and
<br />forwarded to the Board for approval.
<br />CONTRACTOR'S BONDS APPROVED
<br />The Board received a report from Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering,
<br />that Continuation Certificates for Contractor's Bonds for the following
<br />could be approved:
<br />Carl J. Reinke & Sons to August 4, 1974
<br />Emmett K. Troyer to August 29, 1974
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the continuation certificates were
<br />approved to the dates listed.
<br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the
<br />period of July 1 to July 267, 9973 was received and ordered filed.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 11:20 a.m.
