SPECIAL MEETING <br />MAY 21, 1973 <br />A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 10:50 a.m. <br />on Monday, May 21, 1973 with all members present. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to consider the following letter which was <br />not delivered until after the regular meeting adjourned: <br />RECOMMENDATION - POLICE VEHICLE BIDS <br />May 18, 1973 <br />Board of Public Works <br />County -City Building <br />227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Gentlemen: Reference: Recommendation of Vehicle Bids <br />Since appropriation of the money for the ten (10) additional <br />police vehicles for the Police Department, and upon receipt of the <br />only bid submitted, it is found that we did not appropriate sufficient <br />funds for ten vehicles in accordance to specifications. <br />It is my request that we purchase nine (9) additional vehicles <br />as per bid price at the earliest possible time due to manufacturer <br />.shut -down on 1973 models. ' <br />Any consideration would be appreciated. <br />Respectfully, <br />s/ Robert J.
