22i <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 30, 1973 <br />REPORT FROM DONALD DECKER ON APPRAISAL OF USED BITUMINOUS DISTRIBUTOR <br />Mr. Donald Decker, Manager, Bureau'of Streets, appeared before the Board and <br />said that he had requested advertising for bids for the sale of a used <br />bituminous distributor and the Board had requested that an appraisal be made <br />of the distributor. Mr. Decker said the.unit had _been appraised at $800. <br />The Board requested that Mr. Decker present a letter stating the appraised <br />value of the distributor and upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />authorized advertising for bids for the sale of the distributor on.May <br />4 and it with bids to be received on May 14, 1973. <br />REQUEST FOR PAYMENT TO PENN CENTRAL RAILROAD REFUSED <br />Mr. Donald Decker, Manager, Bureau of Streets, presented to the.Board a <br />request for payment sent to the Penn Central Railroad for 22 tons of asphalt <br />and the man hours required to make repairs to the Penn Central Crossing at <br />Niles Avenue. Mr. Decker said that,'under an agreement with the railroad, <br />Street Department crews make temporary repairs where needed and bill the <br />railroad for them. Penn'Central has returned this request and refused to <br />pay it. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was referred - <br />to Mr. Roemer, City Attorney, for appropriate action. <br />There being no further -business to come before the Board, upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 11:05 a.m. <br />6 �'O <br />J es R.
