SPECIAL MEETING <br />APRIL 25, 1973 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 8:35 a.m. on <br />Wednesday, April 25, 1973, with Board members William J. Richardson and James <br />R. Seitz in attendance. Fire Chief Jack R. Bland was also present. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to consider bids for two Fire Department <br />ambulances. Bid opening was set for Monday, April 23, 1973.',7 The bids were in <br />the South Bend Post Office last Friday, April 20th but, due to there being a <br />holiday the County -City Building was' closed, and the bids could not be <br />delivered. They were on the premises in the Mail Room by 10:00 a.m. Monday <br />morning but were not delivered until 11:10 a.m. <br />The following bids were opened and publicly read, the Clerk having tendered <br />proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News: <br />Butler Coach Company <br />8401 W. Washington Street <br />Indianapolis, Indiana 46231 <br />The bid was signed by Jack R. <br />Trusty, non -collusion affidavit <br />was found to be in order and a <br />10% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Two 1973 Dodge Van Type Ambulances C@ 11,993.00 $23,986.00 <br />National Custom Coaches, Inc. The bid was signed by Robert D. <br />P. 0. Box 89 Woodward, non -collusion affidavit <br />Knightstown, Indiana 46148 was found to be in order and a <br />109/o bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Two 1973 National bodge Ambulances @ 13,298.68 $26,597.36 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to Fire Chief <br />Jack R. Bland for review and report to the Board. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the special meeting adjourned at <br />8:40 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK <br />1 <br />0 <br />
