2/26/73 <br />REPORT ON CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH REQUEST FOR PARADE <br />Mr. Clem Hazinski, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported to the Board <br />that he had investigated the request by the Calvary Baptist Church to hold <br />a parade on Saturday, March 3, 1973. Mr. Hazinski recommended that approval <br />be given provided police supervision or escort is provided and the City is <br />indemnified according to Board regulations. <br />REPORT ON REQUEST FOR CANOE RACE BY MICHIANA WATERSHED <br />Mr. Clem Hazinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported to the <br />Board that he had investigated the request of the Michiana Watershed to hold <br />their annual Canoe Race on May 12,1973. Mr. Hazinski recommended that approval <br />be given contingent upon proper arrangements having been made with the Police <br />Department. <br />EXCAVATION BOND CONTINUATION CERTIFICATE - ROBERT P. GOETZ <br />The Board received an Excavation Bond Continuation Certificate for Robert P. <br />Goetz and upon motion made, seconded and carried, referred the bond to the <br />Bureau of Engineering for investigation and report. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - LA RITE ROOFING & INSULATING COMPANY, INC. <br />A certificate of insurance effective until 2/10/74 was received from the <br />La -Rite Roofing & Insulating Company and upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried the Board approved the certificate. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - RIETH-RILEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />A certificate of insurance was received from the Rieth-Riley Construction <br />Company effective until 2/1/74 and'upon motion made, seconded and carried <br />the Board approved the certificate. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted the Street Light <br />Outage report for the period of 2/17/73 to 2/22/73 and ordered it filed. <br />APPROVAL OF PLANS - SANITARY TRUNK SEWER EXTENSION ON IRONWOOD ROAD <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved plans for R & S 48, <br />Sanitary Trunk Sewer Extension on Ironwood Road, between Brookmede and Ireland <br />Road. The project has been submitted to the State Board of Health and has <br />been approved. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board authorized <br />advertising for bids for this project, bids to be received on March 19, 1973. <br />DATE OF PUBLIC REVIEW ON IRONWOOD SEWER PROJECT SET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board set the date of Wednesday, <br />March 14, 1973 from 1:30 p.m, to 8:30 p.m, in the Board Hearing Room for a <br />public review on Project R & S 48, Ironwood Road Sanitary Trunk Sewer Extension. <br />Any citizen of the City of South Bend may review the plans and have questions <br />answered concerning the project. For the seven-day period beginning March 14, <br />1973 and ending March 21, 1973 at 4:45 p.m., the Board will accept written <br />comments concerning the project, provided the comments are signed and the address <br />of the citizen is included in the letter. <br />ENGINEERING CONTRACT SIGNED FOR CHIPPEWA AVENUE RETENTION BASIN <br />A contract with Lawson Associates for engineering services for the construction <br />of a retention basin between Chippewa Avenue and Ireland Road west of the Penn - <br />Central Railroad tracks was approved upon motion made seconded and carried. <br />The total amount of the contract is not to -exceed $17,000. <br />
