October 30, 1972 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened <br />at 9:30 A.M., on Monday, October 30, 1972. All members were present. <br />Minutes of the last meeting were.read and approved. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT Battalion Chief Wilson was present at the meeting. <br />The following letter was received from Chief Bland: <br />October 27, 1972 <br />Board of Public Works and Safety <br />13th Floor County City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Re: Explosive / Incendiary School, <br />Honorable Members of the Board: <br />Attached hereto please find a letter from Battalion Chief William <br />H. Wilson, Jr. requesting permission to send four of his inspectors <br />to the above named school for three days. Bland <br />701 West Sample Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Re: Explosive/Incendiary <br />School <br />Dear Chief Bland: <br />I would like to request permission for four (4) of our men from <br />the Fire Prevention Bureau to attend the Explosive/Incediary <br />Device School being held on November 8,9 and 10 at Camp Atterbury, <br />Edinburg, Indiana. Registration fee will be $30.00. This will <br />include lodging, breakfast and lunch. Transportation will be <br />furnished by a municipally owned vehicle. The men I would like <br />to attend this school are as follows: Lt. Robert Janowiak; Lt. <br />Louis Burzynski; Lt. Louis Kovach and Lt.
