10/10/72 <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipa. <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, <br />including, but not''limited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, <br />water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within the <br />vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the individual <br />Utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected <br />by such vacation: <br />Lots 224, 225, 2289 229, 230 and 235 <br />as shown on the recorded Third Plat <br />of the Northwest Addition to the City of <br />South Bend. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the lath day of <br />October, 1972 and the 20th day of October, 1972 in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri County News. <br />This Board, at it's office on the 23rd day of October, 1972 at <br />9:30 O'clock A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all <br />persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />Adopted this loth day of October, 1972. <br />BOARD OF PUCLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />s/ Charles A. Noble, Clerk <br />LETTER FROM COUNCILMAN KOPCZYNSKI - RE: DEBRIS.IN STREET <br />A letter was received from Councilman Walter T. Kopczynski stating <br />that frequently after an accident glass and metal debris is left <br />in the Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried this was <br />referred to the Police and Street Departments. <br />REQUEST FROM SOUTH BEND CABINET COMPANY TO CLOSE STREET <br />A letter was received from the South Bend Cabinet Company, 915 <br />Indiana Avenue, South Bend, requesting permission to close half <br />of Indiana.Avenue between Kemble Avenue and Catalpa Street from <br />1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on October 27, 1972 for the purpose of <br />having a Grand Opening of.the Store. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and Carried, the matter was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting for study and report. <br />WEIGHTS AND MEASURES REPORT <br />Mr. Bert Cichowicz, City Sealer, filed his report for the month <br />of September, 1972. <br />Mr. Cichowicz presented a letter requesting permission to attend <br />the 17th annual Weights and Measures Technical School in Bloom- <br />ington, Indiana October 18-20. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the request was granted. <br />PARTIAL PAYMENT NO 13 - SOLLITT CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried partial payment number 13 <br />in the amount of $435,897.99 for Sollitt Construction Company <br />for labor material and equipment used in the additions to the Waste- <br />water Disposal Project was approved. <br />
