Special Meeting September 25, 1972 A Special Meeting of the Board of. Public Works and Safety was convened at the request of the Chairman on September 25, 1972 at 11:30 A.M. All members were present. Paul Horvath, a member of the South Bend Fire Department was present in person, and Chief Bland was present in person. The Chairman asked Mr. Horvath if he had received a letter from the Chief outlining the reasons why he was present. He said yes. He was asked if he understood the reasons why he was present and he said yes. The Chairman asked if he realized the Department had a problem with him and he said yes. After a full and lengthy discussion, the following motion was made, seconded and carried:. That Paul Horvath is suspended from duty with the South Bend Fire Department, without pay, for a period of fifteen days from today. He is to comm -i t. h i mse 1 f to , the care and custody of Mr. Ken Tomlinson, Project Director, of the Court Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Program and he is �-i to subject himself to the training of that office for a period of one year. One other condition is that he .go to the meetings reg- ularly. Failure to observe the above will lead to dismissal from the Department. PACKER TRUCK BID Another bid was received FOR the Packer Truck Equipment and was opened and read by the Board, as follows: Central Indiana Truck Equipment 2128 S. Harding, Indianapolis, Indiana 2 Heil Colectomatic Model Mark III 16 cu. yd. complete and installed on customers chassis $5,425.00 $10,850.00 Non Collusion affidavit was found to be in proper order and a bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid accompanied the bid. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the above bid was referred to the Bureau of Engineering for tabulation with the other bids. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting as adjourned at 12:1•0 P.M. rles A. Swg6yey, Jr. V William ,Y.' This is for the Chassis only.
