Special Meeting September 25, 1972 <br />A Special Meeting of the Board of. Public Works and Safety was <br />convened at the request of the Chairman on September 25, 1972 at <br />11:30 A.M. All members were present. <br />Paul Horvath, a member of the South Bend Fire Department was <br />present in person, and Chief Bland was present in person. <br />The Chairman asked Mr. Horvath if he had received a letter from <br />the Chief outlining the reasons why he was present. He said yes. <br />He was asked if he understood the reasons why he was present and <br />he said yes. The Chairman asked if he realized the Department <br />had a problem with him and he said yes. <br />After a full and lengthy discussion, the following motion was <br />made, seconded and carried:. That Paul Horvath is suspended from <br />duty with the South Bend Fire Department, without pay, for a <br />period of fifteen days from today. He is to comm -i t. h i mse 1 f to , <br />the care and custody of Mr. Ken Tomlinson, Project Director, of <br />the Court Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Program and he is <br />�-i <br />to subject himself to the training of that office for a period of <br />one year. One other condition is that he .go to the meetings reg- <br />ularly. <br />Failure to observe the above will lead to dismissal from the <br />Department. <br />PACKER TRUCK BID <br />Another bid was received FOR the Packer Truck Equipment and was <br />opened and read by the Board, as follows: <br />Central Indiana Truck Equipment <br />2128 S. Harding, <br />Indianapolis, Indiana <br />2 Heil Colectomatic Model Mark III 16 cu. yd. complete and <br />installed on customers chassis $5,425.00 $10,850.00 <br />Non Collusion affidavit was found to be in proper order and a bid bond <br />in an amount of 10% of the bid accompanied the bid. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried the above bid was referred to <br />the Bureau of Engineering for tabulation with the other bids. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the meeting as adjourned at 12:1•0 P.M. <br />rles A. This is for the Chassis only. <br />
