REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 16, 1975 <br />purchase and installation of a Closed Circuit <br />Television Monitoring System for the South Bend Bureau <br />of Police Jail Facility. Based upon that study, we <br />find the bids as submitted to be unacceptable for the <br />following reasons: <br />l..Radio Distributing's bid rejected because the <br />financial statement on Form 96A was not completed. <br />2. Excessive bid submitted by Meade. <br />3. Insufficient security of cameras.. <br />4. Failure to itemize specification equipment costs. <br />5. Little similarity with prior preliminary bids in <br />either equipment or costs. <br />6. Lack of audio in Meade bid. <br />7. No lens specifications in Radio Distributing Bid. <br />8. No statement as to time of delivery or installation <br />as required. <br />For these reasons, we ask the Board to re -advertise for <br />0 bids using our original specifications as published. <br />Ci? <br />M We will be delighted to meet with any vendor to discuss <br />�3 equipment or operational specifications that may be unclear <br />to prospective bidders. <br />Respectfully,. <br />s/ John H. Walsh <br />Chief of Police " <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Chief and rejected all bids for the Closed <br />Circuit Television monitoring System for the Jail Facility. The <br />Clerk was directed to re -advertise for bids for the system, with <br />sealed bids to be received on June 30, 1975. <br />RECOMMENDATION TO AWARD BID PORTABLE ALARM SYSTEM <br />The Board received a recommendation from Chief John H. Walsh that <br />the bid of Pro-Com for the portable alarm system be accepted. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board awarded the low <br />and only bid of Pro-Com for a 500 channel alarm decoder and 10 <br />portable units at a total bid price of $7,494.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION TO AWARD BID - AUT014ATIC SEARCH REPRODUCER <br />The Board received a recommendation from Chief John H. Walsh that <br />the bid of Magnasync/Moviola for an Automatic Search Reproducer <br />be accepted. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />awarded the low and only bid of Magnasync/Moviola for an Automatic <br />Search Reproducer, time reader and control unit at a total bid <br />price of $5,256.00. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 18. 1975 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following resolution <br />was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18, 1975 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has <br />compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property owned <br />by the City of South Bend, Indiana, pursuant to Section 30 A-1 <br />of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend; and <br />
