3.10 REGULAR MEETING MARCH 3, 1975 HEART ASSOCIATION CYCLE-A-THON APPROVED The Board received a report from Clem Hazinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting indicating that he had reviewed the request of the Heart Association to hold a Cycle-A-Thon on April 5th with all Departments involved. He said approval is recommended provided the following requirements are met: 1. The approved bicycle route be followed 2. Participants must comply with all traffic -regulations; i.e., traffic signals, stop.signs, etc. 3. At no time will participants ride more than two abreast. 4. A drawing showing exact route is to be submitted. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the Sycle-A-Thon subject to the requirements listed above and the filing of liability insurance with the City of South Bend named as an additional insured on the policy. CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE APPROVED The Board received a recommenation from Clem Hazinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, regarding the request of the Chet Waggoner Little League to hold a parade on May 24th. Mr. Hazinski said the request had been reviewed with the departments involved and approval was recommended Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the parade, subject.to the filing of liability insurance with the City of South Bend names ad. an additional insured on the policy. TAXI LICENSE APPROVAL RECOMMENDED The Board received a recommendation from Chief John H. Walsh that he had reviewed his earlier denial of a taxi license application for Samuel Turner at the Board's request. Mr. Turner submitted a letter from the Indiana -Yellow Cab Company on behalf of his employment with them. Chief Walsh recommended approval of the license. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the license and the City Controller is to be so notified. TAXI LICENSE TRANSFER APPROVED A request to trasnfer Taxi License No. 12 from Phyllis Frazier to Robert Tutorow was sent to Chief Walsh for review. The Chief recommended to the Board that, pursuant to an investigation made by his Department, the request could be approved. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the transfer of Taxi License 12 to Robert Tutorow from Phyllis Frazier. BONDS APPROVED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that the following Continuation Certificates for Contractor's Bonds had been properly executed and could be _approved: CONTRACTOR'S BOND Glen R. Nunemaker d/b/a Nunemaker to 12/31/75 Julius O'Neal to l/l/76 Leonard Geans to 3/29/76 Jay A. Kretchmer to 12/31/75 Sollitt Construction Co. to 3/5/76 Construction Co. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board bonds to the dates listed.
