3.10 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 3, 1975 <br />HEART ASSOCIATION CYCLE-A-THON APPROVED <br />The Board received a report from Clem Hazinski, Manager of the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting indicating that he had reviewed <br />the request of the Heart Association to hold a Cycle-A-Thon on <br />April 5th with all Departments involved. He said approval is <br />recommended provided the following requirements are met: <br />1. The approved bicycle route be followed <br />2. Participants must comply with all traffic -regulations; i.e., <br />traffic signals, stop.signs, etc. <br />3. At no time will participants ride more than two abreast. <br />4. A drawing showing exact route is to be submitted. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the <br />Sycle-A-Thon subject to the requirements listed above and the <br />filing of liability insurance with the City of South Bend named <br />as an additional insured on the policy. <br />CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE APPROVED <br />The Board received a recommenation from Clem Hazinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, regarding the request of the Chet <br />Waggoner Little League to hold a parade on May 24th. Mr. Hazinski <br />said the request had been reviewed with the departments involved <br />and approval was recommended Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the Board approved the parade, subject.to the filing of <br />liability insurance with the City of South Bend names ad. an <br />additional insured on the policy. <br />TAXI LICENSE APPROVAL RECOMMENDED <br />The Board received a recommendation from Chief John H. Walsh <br />that he had reviewed his earlier denial of a taxi license <br />application for Samuel Turner at the Board's request. Mr. Turner <br />submitted a letter from the Indiana -Yellow Cab Company on behalf <br />of his employment with them. Chief Walsh recommended approval of <br />the license. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />approved the license and the City Controller is to be so notified. <br />TAXI LICENSE TRANSFER APPROVED <br />A request to trasnfer Taxi License No. 12 from Phyllis Frazier <br />to Robert Tutorow was sent to Chief Walsh for review. The Chief <br />recommended to the Board that, pursuant to an investigation made <br />by his Department, the request could be approved. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the transfer of Taxi <br />License 12 to Robert Tutorow from Phyllis Frazier. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that the following Continuation Certificates for Contractor's <br />Bonds had been properly executed and could be _approved: <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Glen R. Nunemaker d/b/a Nunemaker <br />to 12/31/75 <br />Julius O'Neal to l/l/76 <br />Leonard Geans to 3/29/76 <br />Jay A. Kretchmer to 12/31/75 <br />Sollitt Construction Co. to 3/5/76 <br />Construction Co. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />bonds to the dates listed. <br />
