29 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 17, 1975 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m.. on Monday, February 17, 1975 with all members present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski was also present. Minutes <br />of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS -.JANITORIAL SERVICES, MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Janitorial Services <br />for the Municipal Services Facility from March 1, 1975 through . <br />January 31, 1976. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of <br />notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were <br />found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />Niles Janitorial Service <br />Bid was signed by Kornel L.Borszei, <br />216 Philip Road <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />Niles, Michigan <br />order and a certified check in the <br />amount of $900 accompanied the bid. <br />Bid - $18,000.00 <br />Servicemaster Building Services <br />Bid was signed by Matthew N. Hopman, <br />230 W. Jefferson <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />W <br />Bid = $16,318.72 <br />ITT Building Service Division <br />Bid was signed by Roman Pajakowski, <br />501 E. LaSalle <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />and a 5/0 bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Bid - $19,151.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the bids were referred to <br />Stanley H. Pryzyblinski, Manager, <br />Municipal Services Facility, for <br />review and recommendation. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3407, 1974 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Assessment Roll <br />for Vacation Resolution No. 3407, 1974 for the vacation of the <br />alley between St. Louis and St. Peter Streets from Madison Street <br />South, 198 feet, City of South Bend. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having <br />been filed, the Assessment Roll showing $0.00 net damages and $0.00 <br />net benefits was, upon motion made, seconded and carrried, confirmed <br />by the Board as adopted and said resolution is in all things ratified <br />and confirmed and said proceedings closed. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3408, 1974 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Assessment Roll <br />for Vacation Resolution No. 3408, 1974 for the vacation of a portion <br />of Colfax Avenue and the north -south alley from Washington Street <br />to Colfax Avenue, City of South Bend. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having <br />been filed, the Assessment -Roll showing $0.00 net benefits and <br />$0.00 net damages was, upon motion made, seconded and carried, confirmed <br />by the Board as adopted and said resolution is in all things ratified <br />and confirmed and said proceedings closed. <br />
