i°m <br />I <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 3, 1975 <br />BOND APPROVED - PAUL E. GEANS <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that the contractor's bond for Paul E. Geans had been properly <br />executed and could be approved Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the Board approved the Continuation Certificate to <br />2/17/76. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET <br />The title sheet approving the plans for the Colfax -Pier Park <br />Dredging and Rip Rap was presented to the Board with a <br />recommendation from Patrick McMahon, Manager of the Bureau of <br />Public Construction, that the title sheet be signed. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Board signed the title <br />sheet. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of January 24 <br />through January 29 wqs received. Upon motion made,;seconded <br />and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />APPROVAL OF REVISED PREVAILING SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS <br />Prevailing Specifications for Public Works for the City of <br />South Bend were adopted on March 13, 1972. The specifications <br />have now been revised and updated, particularly as concerns <br />acceptance of subdivisions by the City and street excavation <br />repairs. The revised specifications were submitted to the <br />Board for approval. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Bord approved the revised Specifications for Public Works. <br />REQUEST TO HOLD PARADE AND DEMONSTRATION ON FEBRUARY 22, 1975 <br />The Board received a request from Hammond Bradley, Coordinator for <br />Workers Solidarity Day, to hold a parade and demonstration on <br />February 22, 1975 at 12:00 noon. The parade would begin at the <br />1000 Block of West Washington Street and proceed to the County - <br />City Building. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />.request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, the <br />Police Department and the Legal Department for review and <br />recommendation. <br />NOTRE DAME STUDENT IN ATTENDANCE <br />Scott Sandrock, a student in Dr. Bartholomew's American City <br />Government Class at the University of Notre Dame, attended the <br />meeting as an observor.
