Z 3 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 12,1974 <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended to the Board that <br />the following traffic control devices be installed: <br />A. Stop Signs on Leland at Portage. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the installation was approved. <br />B. Stop Signs on Marquette at Kessler. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the installation was approved. <br />PETITION FOR SIDEWALKS <br />The Board received a letter from Mrs. Nancy Rosenstock, 5914 S. <br />Gotham Drive, petitioning the Board to install sidewalks on both <br />sides of Miami Street, from Kern Road to Ireland Road. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the letter was referred to the Bureau <br />of Design and Administration for review and recommendation. <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - 900 E. IRELAND ROAD <br />The City of South Bend received a notice of public hearing on a <br />petition to rezone property at 900 E. Ireland Road.. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the notice was ordered filed. <br />APPLICATION APPROVED - RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />Louis Wilcox, Director of River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board <br />an application from the 542nd Transportation Company,Kingsbury, <br />Indiana for two display booths on the Plaza on November 14 throuth <br />16. Mr. Wilcox recommended the application be approved. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the application. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of October 30 through <br />November 6 was received and, upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />was ordered filed. <br />REQUESTS FOR STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS AND RAILROAD REPAIRS <br />The Board received requests from Councilman Walter Kopczynski for <br />repair of the railroad crossing at Olive and Washington and for <br />the installation of street lights at 1916 S. Morris, 2126 S. <br />Glen and midblock 1600 W. Calvert. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the requests were referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHTS <br />Mr. Barcome requested that street lights be installed on existing . <br />poles at 2413 W. Dunham Street and 2630 W. Poland St. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the requests were referred to the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />1 <br />
