REGULAR MEETING JULY 29, 1974
RIVER BEND PLAZA ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP
Charles F._Lennon, Jr., Director of the Department of Redevelopment,
inquired of the Board what procedure should be used in adding
members to the River Bend Plaza Advisory Committee, which is an
open-ended Committee. The Board advised him that names should be
submitted to the Mayor and he will then advise the Board of any
new appointments made.
RIVER BEND PLAZA SECURITY
There was a discussion regarding security on the Plaza. Mr. Lennon
said the Board might want to look into the matter of additional
security with the opening of schools near the downtown. Mr. Barcome
said this matter had been discussed with Chief Urban and the feeling
is that the present security personnel assigned to the Plaza can
handle the situation. The matter of bicycles and people sitting on
walls on the Plaza were also discussed. Bicyclists are being asked
not to ride on the. Plaza.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:50 a.m.
Ja e R. Seitz
ATTEST:
CLERK
