REGULAR MEETING JULY 29, 1974 Mr. Farrand noted that there was an error in computation of interest on the earlier agreement. The Legal Department reviewed the matter and made a recommendation to the Board. Three of the trade-in vehicles were in such poor condition they were not acceptable to Michiana Mack. The following Release was presented to the Board RELEASE In consideration for the Municipal City of South Bend agreeing to pay an interest rate of 5.61% rather than 4.610 on the lease - purchase of 8 Mack trucks, I hereby release any and all claims I may have against the said City for the condition of'the trucks given in trade by the said City on the purchase of the said Mack trucks. SIGNING OF LEASE -PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR MACK TRUCKS A new lease -purchase agreement with the National Bank & Trust Company for the eight Mack trucks was presented to the Board. The agreement has been reviewed by the Legal Department and they recommended approval. The agreement calls for six yearly payments of $48,622.78. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Lease -Purchase Agreement was approved. REQUEST APPROVED TO LOCATE TRAILER AT 700 WEST CHIPPEWA The Board received a request from the"A. Baker'Mfg. Co. to locate a trailer on their property at 700 W. Chippewa, while their present building is remodeled. Forrest West; Director of the Bureau of Buildings, reviewed the request and recommended approval provided the electrical and plumbing hook-ups are done by licensed con- tractors. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request, subject to the stipulations of the Building Department. DEDICATION OF A PART OF O'BRIEN STREET FILED Raymond Lang, Engineer, filed with the Board a petition and drawings for the dedication of O'Brien Street from the South line of Werwinski to 163 feet south. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the dedication was referred to the Area Plan Commission for review and recommendation. PARKING RESTRICTION ON IRELAND ROAD The Board received a recommendation from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting that there be no parking on Ireland Road from Ironwood to York. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the recommendation was approved. COMPLAINT - SIDEWALK AT 3016 MISHAWAKA AVENUE The Board received a complaint from William Kelly regarding the con- dition of the sidewalk at 3016 Mishawaka Avenue. The sidewalk is badly in need of repair and the owner has been asked several times to make repairs. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the complaint was referred to the Bureau of Engineering for review and recommendation. REPORT ON REQUEST TO PARK ON LINCOLNWAY EAST AUGUST 3 AND 4 The Bureau of Traffic and Ligbting reported to the Board that arrangements have been coordinated with the Police Department Traffic Bureau to allow parking on Linconway East, from Miami to Ironwood, on August 3 and 4, in connection with an Art Fair to be held at the Potpourri. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the report was ordered filed.
