<br />A. Installation of ten parking meters on the north and south
<br />sides of the.west one-half block of 100 E. Washington.
<br />This is a former bus zone. The meters are to be one hour limit.
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the installation was
<br />approved.
<br />B. Installation of six parking meters on the north side of the east
<br />one-half block of 100 West Washington. This is a former bus
<br />zone. The meters are to be one hour limit. Upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, the installation was approved.
<br />C. Installation of stop signs on.Navarre at Riverside, at a
<br />previously uncontrolled "T" intersection. Upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, the installation was approved.
<br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE LOT AT 1230 W. COLFAX
<br />The Board received a letter from Harold Teeter indicating an interest
<br />in purchasing the City -owned lot at 1230 W. Colfax. This lot was
<br />offered for sale previously but the City did not receive an offer to
<br />purchase. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board directed
<br />that the lot at 1230 W. Colfax Avenue be added to the list of real
<br />estate in Resolution No. 9 and that it be appraised when those lots
<br />are appraised.
<br />APPOINTMENT OF APPRAI.SERS
<br />The Legal Department advised the Board that Resolution No. 9,
<br />authorizing the sale of city -owned property, was submitted to the
<br />Council for their review. The thirty -day period has elapsed and the
<br />Council has not asked that any of these parcels be retained for
<br />City use. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board named
<br />Philip Ostreicher and Reginald Howard as appraisers for the city -
<br />owned real estate to be offered for sale.
<br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED
<br />The Board received a Certificate of Insurance from North American
<br />Signs, Inc. in effect until June 22, 1975. Upon motion made, seconded
<br />and carried, the Certificate was ordered filed.
<br />APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR RIVER BEND PLAZA
<br />The following applications were received for booths on River Bend
<br />Plaza. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the applications were
<br />approved. Thomas Farkas, Mrs. Donald Brokie, Howard Zar, Betty
<br />Strandberg, Aphrodite Pappas, Paula Gonzales, Chester Bentkowski,
<br />Eugene Werbiansky, Robert Borlik, Mexican Food Booth, Greek Food
<br />Booth, Hungarian Food Booth, Polish Food Booth, Ukranian Food Booth,
<br />Swedish Food Booth, Italian Food Booth, Jewish Food Booth, American
<br />Indian Food Booth, Black Food Booth, St. Joseph County Medical Society,
<br />South Bend Public Library, LaSalle Pancake and Snack Shop, Bisons
<br />Basketball Team, American Foundation for the Science of Creative
<br />Intelligence, Carriage Crafts, South Bend Bicentennial Committee,
<br />We Together Singers, and Charles Ehninger.
<br />TRASH PICK-UP DATES ANNOUNCED
<br />Trash Pick-up for this week will be made on July 5 and 6 in view of
<br />the holiday.
<br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - SCOTTSDALE ADDITION, SECTION H
<br />The title sheet approving plans for sewers and streets for Scottsdale
<br />Addition, Section H was received by the Board. This area is east of
<br />the Garden Quarter Section and south of the By-pass. Upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, the title sheet approving the plans was signed.
