EM <br />1 <br />I <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />A Special Meeting of the Board of <br />May 2, 1974 at 11:30 a.m. with all <br />James A. Roemer was also present. <br />MAY 2, 1974 <br />Public Works was held on Thursday, <br />members.present. City Attorney <br />The purpose of the special meeting was to review the locations <br />submitted by WEM. Distributors for the sale of flowers. The sites <br />requested were: <br />1. Edison and South Bend Avenue, the Linebacker Property <br />2. Miami and Ewing, Southeast Corner <br />3. Pleasant and Ironwood <br />4. Angela and Riverside, Northwest or Northeast Corner <br />Sites 1, 2 and 3 are zoned Commercial and, as such, are acceptable <br />for the sale of flowers. Site 4, the Angela Boulevard site, is <br />zoned A Residential, which does not permit the commercial use of the site. <br />It was noted that the petitioner had furnished, in writing, <br />authorization from the owners of the Miami and Ewing site and the <br />Pleasant and Ironwood site to use the locations for the purpose of <br />selling flowers. No such authorization was furnished for the Edison <br />and South Bend Avenue site. It was moved by Mr. Farrand and seconded <br />by Mr. Barcome that permission be granted to use the Miami and Ewing <br />site, the Pleasant and Ironwood site and the Edison and South Bend <br />Avenue site for the purpose of selling flowers, subject to written <br />authorization from the owner of the Edison and South Bend Avenue site <br />being furnished to the Board. Permission was denied to use the <br />Angela Boulevard and Riverside Drive site because of adverse zoning. <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br />It was noted that the Board will..consider a fourth location subject <br />to proper zoning and written authorization from the owner. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at <br />11:35 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK <br />j/ <br />fifes R. e' z <br />V� <br />
