SPE"CIAL MEETING MAY 18, 1976 1 A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 1976 by President Rollin Farrand with Mr. Farrand, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT WITH INDIANA STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION An agreement between the City of South Bend and the Indiana State Highway Commission for Project 11-6000(16), for signal modernization at 16 intersections and intersection improvement at Portage, Hamilton, Wilber and Woodland Streets was submitted to the Board. Mr. Brunner made a motion that Paragraph four, Page 1 of the Agreement be revised to read as follows: "Whereas the Board's share of the cost shall be the total amount of the entire cost of said project less the amount contributed by the federal government, through federal aid, and the Board has caused to be filed -by the Department of Public Works an appropriation ordinance with the Common Council of the City of South Bend which ordinance provides for the appropriation of the sum of $159,000 to apply to the construction of said project, which amount is estimated to equal the Board's share of the entire cost of the project and that such ordinance has received first reading before the South Bend Common Council on May 10, 1976 with final approval of this ordinance expected to occur on May 24, 1976." The motion was seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried. Upon motion made by Mr. Brunner, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Agreement as revised was approved and will be transmitted to the Indiana State Highway Commission for their approval. There being no further business to come before the special meeting, upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. -Brunner and carried, the special meeting adjourned at 3:55 p.m. ATTEST: 7��- - Z (Y".
