There was a discussion
..., regarding whether or not there were houses in the area of 500 S.
Z„) Walnut where parking is being removed. David Wells, Manager of
the Bureau of Design and Administration, indicated that the area
was mostly railroad property and an old coal yard with perhaps one
house. lie said it did not appear there would be any parking
problem. The Board members noted that if a parking problem did
arise, it could be called to their attention.
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED
A Certificate of Insurance for Bock Industries, Inc. was submitted
to the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr.
Brunner and carried, the certificate was ordered filed.
STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED
The Street Light Outage report for the period of April 5 through 12
was received. Mr. Farrand
reported that this is a Barrett Law project. The original
proposal called for a much larger sewer project but a public hearing
was held and more than half of the property owners remonstrated against
the project and it was dropped. A smaller project area including
those people who want and need the sewers was proposed and a public
hearing was held on that project. The Board confirmed the
Improvement Resolution for the project and the Bureau of Design
and Administration is now submitting the title sheet approving the
plans, and also requesting that the Board advertise for bids for
construction.
