Temporary service where metered shall be calculated upon the <br />registration of a meter or meters installed at the approved meter rates. In such cases as the <br />Utility may deem it impracticable to install a meter for temporary service, there shall be <br />a minimum monthly charge of twenty -nine dollars ($29.00). If the water consumption <br />computed at approved rates is known to be in excess of the twenty -nine dollars ($29.00) <br />minimum charge, an authorized agent of the Utility shall have the right to estimate said <br />water usage and the estimated usage shall be billed at the approved meter rates. <br />SECTION II. Chapter 17, Article 4, Section 17 -46 of the South Bend Municipal Code shall <br />be amended to read in its entirety as follows: <br />Sec. 17 -46. Collection or deferred payment charge. <br />All bills for water services, not paid within five (5) days from the due date thereof, as stated <br />in such bills, shall be subject to a collection or deferred payment charge of six (6) per-e°„+ of the <br />-feat m^' thiv bill. ten percent (10 %) of the first three dollars ($3.00) of the water charge and <br />three percent (3 %) on anv amount in excess of three dollars ($3.00) of the water charge. All bills <br />for water services which are turned over to a collection agency shall be subject to a collection <br />charge equal to twenty (20) percent of the unpaid bill. <br />SECTION III. Chapter 17, Article 4, Section 17 -46.1 shall be amended to read in its entirety <br />as follows: <br />Sec. 17 -46.1 Suburban rates. <br />Customers with water service outside the City limits shall incur an additional surcharge of <br />twenty i20 per-.o„+ fourteen percent (14 %) of the rates and charges.
