Venues, Parks, and Arts Waste Management a Recycling Services <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, Board of Pubtic Works <br />November 22, 2016 <br />A Local Provider for More Than 30 Years <br />Waste Management of Indiana, L.L.0 is a wholly owned subsidiary of Waste Management Holdings, Inc., <br />a Delaware corporation, which in turn is wholly owned by Waste Management, Inc., a Delaware <br />corporation. Waste Management, Inc. is a publicly traded company. Waste Management Holdings, Inc., <br />a direct subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc., owns 100 percent of the stock of Waste Management of <br />Indiana, L.L.C. <br />Waste Management will service South Bend's Venues, Park, and Arts facilities from its South Bend, <br />Indiana, Hauling District. <br />Equipment - Waste Management South Bend Fleet Inventory <br />With more than 32,000 collection and support vehicles on the road throughout North America, our <br />trucks are a familiar sight. As they make their rounds, our trucks use fuel and generate greenhouse <br />gases and other emissions. We're committed to reducing the environmental impacts of these vehicles. <br />Waste Management's headquarters are in Houston, Texas, while the local office that will service the <br />City of South Bend will be located at 20645 W. Ireland Rd. South Bend, IN 46619. <br />Waste Management's fleet vehicles are painted in a uniform color and are easily identifiable with the <br />company's branding. Vehicles are marked with unique unit identification numbers on each side and the <br />rear of each vehicle with lettering. Waste Management maintains detailed records of each collection <br />vehicle. All vehicles are meticulously maintained to ensure a clean and orderly appearance, as well as <br />good working condition. Waste Management's fleet vehicles feature the following onboard technology: <br />• GPS real-time technology <br />• Digital camera technology, including back-up camera/monitor <br />• 2-way communication <br />Back -Up Equipment <br />Waste Management will provide back-up equipment in the event of equipment failure or mechanical <br />problems, at no cost to the City. Waste Management utilizes an extensive preventive maintenance <br />program for its equipment in an effort to minimize service disruption wherever possible. <br />Uniforms <br />All employees performing service for South Bend will wear uniforms like those shown in the photo. <br />They will have ID badges and be immediately identifiable as Waste Management personnel. <br />Employees and subcontractor employees wear a company -issued <br />uniform that includes a shirt, jacket, pants, proper footwear, <br />and safety vest; a complete uniform and safety vest will be <br />worn at all times during performance of work. The uniform shirt <br />and jacket will clearly display the company name, making each <br />employee readily identifiable.
