REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 29, 1975 1 A regular meeting'of the Board of 9:30 a.m, on Monday, December 29, with all members present. Deputy was also present. Minutes of the and approved. Public Works was convened at 1975 by Chairman Rollin Farrand City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski previous meeting were reviewed OPENING OF BIDS - JANITORIAL SERVICES, MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY This was the date set for receiving bids for Janitorial Services for the Municipal Services Facility for the period of February 1, 1976 through January 31, 1977. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Servicemaster�Building Service, Inc. Bid was signed by Matthew Hopman, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a certified check was submitted with the bid. Bid - $19,582.71 ABC Janitor Service, Inc. Bid - $ 24,960.00 ITT Building Services Division Bid - $22,430.88 Bid was signed by Graham M. Henry, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond was submitted. Bid was signed by Donald B. Slater, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond was submitted. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to Stanley Przybylinski, Manager of the Bureau of Building Maintenance, for review and recommendation. INTRODUCTION OF JOSEPH PASZLI Mr. Przybylinski was present and introduced to the Board Mr. Joseph Paszli who will assume his duties as Manager of the Bureau of Building Maintenance on January 1, 1976. PUBLIC HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3423 This being the date set for holding a hearing on the Assessment Roll for Vacation Resolution No. 3423, 1975, hearing was held for the vacation of the north -south alley from Mishawaka Avenue to Vine Street, running parallel to and located west of 20th Street, City of South Bend; and the east -west alley running west from 20th Street to and intersecting the alley described above, said alley being north of Lot ( of Shank's 2nd Addition, City -.of South Bend; and the east-wes.t alley running west from 20,th Street to and intersecting the alley described first above, said alley being south of Lot 7 of Shank's 2nd Addition,.City of South Bend. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Assessment Roll showing $0.00 net damages and $0.00 net benefits was approved and said Resolution is in all things ratified and confirmed and said proceedings closed.
