REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 29, 1975 <br />1 <br />A regular meeting'of the Board of <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, December 29, <br />with all members present. Deputy <br />was also present. Minutes of the <br />and approved. <br />Public Works was convened at <br />1975 by Chairman Rollin Farrand <br />City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski <br />previous meeting were reviewed <br />OPENING OF BIDS - JANITORIAL SERVICES, MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Janitorial Services <br />for the Municipal Services Facility for the period of February 1, <br />1976 through January 31, 1977. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were <br />opened and publicly read: <br />Servicemaster�Building Service, Inc. Bid was signed by Matthew Hopman, <br />non -collusion affidavit was <br />in order and a certified check <br />was submitted with the bid. <br />Bid - $19,582.71 <br />ABC Janitor Service, Inc. <br />Bid - $ 24,960.00 <br />ITT Building Services Division <br />Bid - $22,430.88 <br />Bid was signed by Graham M. Henry, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 5% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Donald B. <br />Slater, non -collusion affidavit <br />was in order and a 5% bid bond <br />was submitted. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to <br />Stanley Przybylinski, Manager of the Bureau of Building Maintenance, <br />for review and recommendation. <br />INTRODUCTION OF JOSEPH PASZLI <br />Mr. Przybylinski was present and introduced to the Board Mr. Joseph <br />Paszli who will assume his duties as Manager of the Bureau of Building <br />Maintenance on January 1, 1976. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3423 <br />This being the date set for holding a hearing on the Assessment Roll <br />for Vacation Resolution No. 3423, 1975, hearing was held for the <br />vacation of the north -south alley from Mishawaka Avenue to Vine Street, <br />running parallel to and located west of 20th Street, City of South Bend; <br />and the east -west alley running west from 20th Street to and intersecting <br />the alley described above, said alley being north of Lot ( of Shank's <br />2nd Addition, City -.of South Bend; and the east-wes.t alley running west <br />from 20,th Street to and intersecting the alley described first above, <br />said alley being south of Lot 7 of Shank's 2nd Addition,.City of <br />South Bend. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances having been <br />received, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Assessment Roll <br />showing $0.00 net damages and $0.00 net benefits was approved and <br />said Resolution is in all things ratified and confirmed and said <br />proceedings closed. <br />
