REGULAR IIEETI14G <br />DECEMBER 8, 1975 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, December 8,.1975 by Chairman Rollin Farrand with <br />all members present. Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski.was also <br />present. Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS -FIRE DEPARTr•TENT PUMPERS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for three pumpers for the <br />Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. .The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Ward LaFrance Truck Corporation <br />by Hoosier Fire Equipment, Inc. <br />Bid - Ward LaFrance Comet - 3 units <br />Ward LaFrance Ambassador - 3 <br />Ward LaFrance Ambassador - 3 <br />Halterman General Fire Equipment <br />Bid was signed by Nick D. Swartz, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond <br />accompanied the bid. <br />@ $64,997.00 - Total $194,991.00+ <br />units @ $65,637.00-Total $196,911.00 <br />units @ $62,495.00-Total $187,485.00 <br />Bid was signed by Lissel L. Halterman, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond <br />accompanied the bid, <br />Bid - Three Detroit 671 Pumpers @ $62,135A3 - Total $186,405.39 <br />Three Cummins Pumpers @ $63,877.12 - Total $191.631.36 <br />Peter Pirsch & Sons Co. Bid was signed by G. R. Layden, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond <br />accompanied the bid. <br />Bid - Three Pumpers @ $59,543.00 - Total$178,629.00 <br />Shamrock Ford Truck Sales Bid was signed by B. S. Tinkham, <br />non -collusion affidavit was <br />in order and a 10' bid bond <br />accompanied the bid. <br />Bid -Three Pumpers @ $62,805.00 - Total $188,415.00 <br />Michiana Mach: Bid was signed by Ronald Delcamp, <br />non -collusion affidavit was <br />in order and a 101 bid bond <br />accompanied the bid. <br />Bid - Three Mack Pumpers @ $63,479.00 - Total Bid $190,437.00 <br />Midwest Fire & Safety Equipment Co. Bid was signed by Robert F. Casse, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond <br />accompanied the bid. <br />Bid- Three Midwest Protector I @ $57,459.82 - Total $172,379.46 <br />Three Midwest Protector II @ $56,359.82 - Total $169,079.46 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to <br />the Bureau of Fire for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Bureau of Fire Uniforms <br />for 1976. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri-Countv News which were found to be <br />sufficient.
