54 <br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 11, 1975 <br />BIDS REJECTED - REMODELING OF 10TH, 12TH, 13TH AND 14TH FLOORS <br />Mr. Farrand noted that bids for the remodeling of the l0thl 12th, <br />13th and 14th floors were received last wee. One bid was unsigned <br />and was not read. The bid which was read, from Palmer Construction <br />Company, was reviewed by the Bureau of Design and Administration <br />and the bid amount exceeds the budgeted funds. Mr. Farrand then <br />recommended that the bid be rejected. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board rejected the bid and directed the Clerk to <br />re -advertise for the remodeling of the 12th, 13th and 14th floors <br />of the County -City Complex, with sealed bids to be received on <br />August 25. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - BELLEVILLE PARK <br />The Board received the title sheet approving the plans for <br />Belleville Park. Mr. Seitz noted that this project involves <br />$75,000 in Community Development Funds. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board signed the title sheet approving the plans. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATION APPROVED <br />The Board received an application from the Coca Cola Bottling <br />Company for a display on River Bend Plaza on August 27 from 11:00 <br />a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The application was favorably recommended by <br />Louis Wilcox. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />application was approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of July 31 through <br />August 7 was received. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />report was ordered filed, with the notation that the Police <br />Department be contacted in regard to the small number of lights <br />reported out. <br />BID AWARDED - REMODELING OF CELL BLOCK, CITY JAIL FACILITY <br />Mr. Farrand advised the Board that the bid of Herrman & Goetz for <br />the plumbing and fixtures to remodel the cell block in the City <br />Jail had been reviewed, and he was recommending that the bid be <br />awarded, subject to the appropriation of funds. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board accepted the bid of.Herrman & <br />Goetz, in the amount of $6,930.00, for the plumbing and fixtures <br />to remodel the cell block in the City Jail , subject to the <br />appropriation of funds. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT - CURBS ON HURON STREET <br />The Contract with Rieth-Riley Construction Company for the <br />construction of curbs on Huron Street, at a total price of $7,010.00, <br />was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the contract was approved, subject to the filing with <br />the Board of the Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT - CONSTRUCTION OF CURBS ON WESTMOOR STREET <br />The Contract with Rieth-Riley Construction Company for the <br />construction of curbs on Westmoor Street, at a total price of <br />$28,027.65, was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried,.the contract was approved, subject to the filing with <br />the Board of the Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT - SIDEWALK AND CURBS ON MIAMI STREET <br />The contract with McIntyre and Jones for the construction of <br />sidewalk and curbs on Miami Street at Bowman Cemetery, at a total <br />price of $6,953.00, was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the contract was approved, subject to the <br />filing with the Board of the Performance and Labor and Materials <br />Payment Bonds. <br />
