404 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 21. 1977 <br />Contract No. 029 - Vinyl Wall Coverings` -.,O'Hara Decorating <br />Change Order No. 1 - Add $ 2,650.20 - Additional material and labor <br />cost associated with final <br />vinyl selection. <br />Contract No. 039 - H.V.A.C. - Slutsky-Peltz Plumbing and Heating Company <br />Change Order No. 10 - Delete $2,492.40 - Due to deletion of Glycol system. <br />Contract No. 042 - Sprinklers - McDaniel Company <br />Change Order No. 5 - Add 892.00 - Ceiling revisions to Art Gallery <br />to be'paid by Art Center. <br />Change Order No. 6 - Add 1,768.55 - Relocation of sprinklers due to <br />various ceiling modifications. <br />Total $2,660.55 <br />Contract No. 043 - Electrical - Koontz -Wagner Electric Company <br />Change Order No. 8 - Add $4,138.20 - Light fixture modifications in <br />various areas due to ceiling <br />changes. ($1,575 by Art Center) <br />Change Order No. 9 - Add 783.00 - Additional switching at <br />elevators - required by Code. <br />Total $4,921.20 <br />Mr. McMahon noted that of the total amount of the change orders, <br />$74,770.25, $54,860 for the theatre lighting will be paid by the <br />Hotel/Motel Tax Board, as will $2,543 for changes in the kitchen area, <br />and the Art Center will pay for requested changes in the amount of <br />$6,200; leaving the City's share of the Change Orders at $12,000. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the change orders were approved. <br />PAYMENT SUMMARY FILED - CENTURY CENTER <br />Patrick M. McMahon, Director of Public Works, submitted to the Board <br />the payment summary of contract amounts paid in September, 1977. <br />The summary indicates a total amount paid to date of $5,954.727.00, <br />with a balance to be paid of $1,117,573.79. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the payment summary <br />was filed. <br />BID ADVERTISING APPROVED - VARIOUS CENTURY CENTER ITEMS <br />Peter H. Mullen, City Controller, requested approval to advertise <br />for bids for the lighting lease, audio contract and trash contract <br />for Century Center. Brian Hedman, Executive Director of Century <br />Center, will be asked to prepare the project specifications. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the request was approved and bids will be advertised when the <br />specifications have been received. <br />REPORT - 235 N. STUDEBAKER STREET <br />Patrick M. McMahon, Director of Public Works, submitted a report <br />to the Board on a city -owned lot at 235 N. Studebaker Street. Mr. &, <br />Mrs. James Pope, prospective purchasers, submitted a counter-offer <br />of $300 for the lot with the understanding that they would make the <br />necessary sidewalk and curb repairs. The offering price set by the <br />Board for the lot was $552.00. Mr. McMahon said the Division of <br />Engineering has reviewed the offer and feels that it is consistent <br />with the estimated cost of the improvements. He noted that if the <br />offer is accepted, the Purchase Agreement should guarantee the con- <br />struction of the improvements. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone <br />
