340 <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 26, 1977 <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />submitted to the Board the following recommendations for installation <br />of traffic control devices: <br />A. Removal of Stop Sign, S.W. corner on Jefferson at Chicago. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />B. Installation of No Parking, North side of 600 W. South Street, <br />from Taylor to a point 180' West of Taylor. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />recommendation was approved. <br />C. Installation of Two -Hour Parking Zone, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at <br />112 W. Navarre. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />Mr. Kovas of the South Bend Tribune called to the attention of <br />the Board the fact that cars park on the parkway area, between <br />the curb and sidewalk, in this half -block on Navarre on the <br />south side of the street. The Board directed that this matter <br />be referred to Captain Sweitzer of the Police Department Traffic <br />Bureau for investigation. <br />D. One Hour Parking Zone, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m, on the east side of <br />Liberty Street, from Sample north to the alley adjacent to <br />2821 W. Sample Street. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />E. Remove one hour parking zone 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and revise to <br />No Parking, North side of Sample Street, from Liberty, east <br />across 2821 W. Sample to its east property line. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />recommendation was approved. <br />F. Temporary No Left Turn, on Michigan at North Shore Drive, where <br />bridge repairs are being made. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was <br />approved. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Michael L. Vance, Deputy City Controller, submitted to the Board <br />claim docket numbers 16613 through 17054 and recommended their <br />approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the Board approved claim docket numbers 16613 through <br />17054 and directed that checks for payment be issued. <br />BOND APPROVED - CHIZUM PLUMBING, INC. <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that a bond submitted by Chizum Plumbing, Inc. had been reviewed <br />and was in proper form. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bond was approved. <br />
