Lr,6 ;. <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />JULY 11, 1977 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />10:40 a.m. on Monday, July 11., 1977 by Chairman Pro-Tem Peter <br />H. Mullen, with Mr, Mullen and Mr. Brunner in attendance. Deputy <br />City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. <br />Michael L. Vance, City Auditor, called to the attention of the <br />Board the fact tha. Grady Thompson, operator of the Independent <br />Cab Company and holder of one taxi cab license, has no insurance <br />coverage as require,�,,,by the Municipal Code, Section 15-43. It <br />was also noted th'&.t_Mr. Thompson is in violation of the Municipal <br />Code, Section 15-11, which provides that all persons engaged in the <br />taxi cab business in the City shall render an overall service and <br />shall maintain a central place of business and keep the office open <br />twenty-four hours a day. Upon motion made by Mr. Brunner, seconded <br />by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board directed that Mr. Thompson <br />be notified, by certified mail, that a hearing will 'be held at 9:30 <br />a.m, on Monday, July 25, 1977 in Room 1308 County -City Building <br />to show cause why Mr. Thompson's Certificate of Public Convenience <br />and Necessity should not be revoked. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. <br />the special meeting adj <br />ATTEST: <br />Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />1 <br />
