Lam-` <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />JUNE 27, 1977 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened <br />at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 1977 by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Mullen and Mr. Brunner present. <br />APPROVAL OF ADVERTISING FOR SALE OF REAL ESTATE <br />The Board received -a request from the Morse Electric Company <br />regarding possible purchase of the old Street Department garage <br />property. In accordance with the Municipal Code, the Board <br />adopted a resolution declaring the property not needed and submitted <br />it to the Common Council for their concurrence. The Council <br />approved the sale of the property. It was appraised and is now <br />ready to be offered for sale. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board directed that the <br />following Notice be published and sealed bids requested for the <br />sale of the property: <br />NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />Notice is hereby given to all interested persons that the City <br />of South Bend, pursuant to the Municipal Code of the City of <br />South Bend, Chapter 30A, is offering for sale the following <br />parcels of real estate: <br />A tract or parcel of land containing approximately <br />201,412 square feet, or 4.62 acres, south of Corby <br />and east of Niles Avenue - City Deed No. 240 and <br />A tract or parcel of land containing approximately <br />48,300 square feet, or 1.1 acres, south of Corby <br />and east of Niles Avenue - City Deed No. 263 <br />commonly known as the old Street Department garage property. <br />An offering sheet for the property is on file and available for <br />inspection by any interested bidders in the office of the Board <br />of Public Works, 1308 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />The Board will receive sealed bids until the 25th day of July, <br />1977 at 9:30 a.m. Bids will be opened by the Board at its office <br />on the 25th day of July, 1977 at 9:30 a.m. <br />The Board shall award the sale of the property to the highest <br />and best bid equal to not less than the offering price. <br />The terms of the sale are cash at the date of closing, all title <br />and abstract costs to be paid by the purchaser and the City <br />will execute its Quit -Claim Deed to the property. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />Patrick M.
