REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 23, 1977 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the recommendations were approved. <br />TRASH PICK-UP A14NOUNCED FOR MEMORIAL DAY <br />Joseph Klebosits, Manager of the Bureau of Solid Waste, announced <br />that regular pick-up would�be made by his Department on Monday, <br />May 30, Memorial Day, with the regular schedule to be followed <br />all week. Mr. McMahon made a motion to file the notice, seconded <br />by Mr. Mullen and carried. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUEST APPROVED <br />Mary Kay Huszar, Director of River Bend Plaza, requested permission <br />to allow Elsie the Borden Cow and Beauregard to appear on the <br />Plaza on June 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p;"m. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was <br />approved, subject to the filing of the necessary insurance certificate. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED <br />A Certificate of Insurance from North American Signs was submitted <br />to the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McPlahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the certificate was ordered filed. <br />ST1REET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage report for the period of flay 16 through 20 <br />was received. The report indicated 44 outages. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the report <br />was ordered filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Walter F. Lantz, Deputy City Controller, and Michael L. Vance, City <br />Auditor, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 7954 through <br />8519 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the claims were approved <br />and checks for payment were ordered issued. <br />BOND APPROVED - PORTAGE REALTY COMPANY <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that a Contractor's Bond for Portage Realty Company had been <br />properly executed and could be approved. Mr. McMahon made a motion <br />to approve the bond, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried. <br />ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH COLE ASSOCIATES TABLED <br />An Engineering Agreement with Cole Associates, Inc. for construction <br />of storm drainage facilities in the northeast section of South Bend, <br />in an area bounded by South Bend Avenue, Eddy Street, Ironwood Drive <br />and Mishawaka Avenue, was, upon motion made by Mr. McMahon,. seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, tabled until Play 31. <br />EASEMENT AND RIGHT-OF-WAY ACCEPTED - MOTOROLA SEWER <br />An Easement and Right -of -Way Agreement executed by Louis Zobrosky <br />and Robert L. Kennedy for the Motorola Sewer project in the general <br />area of the Beacon Bowl and between Lincolnway West and Edison Road <br />was accepted by the Board upon motion made by._P-lr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Mullen and carried. The easements will now be recorded. <br />
