REGULAR MEETING APRIL 25, 1977 <br />CONFERENCE REPORTS FILED <br />The Board received the following conference reports: <br />1. A report from John DeLee on attendance at the Indiana Association <br />of Building Officials Spring Conference in Speedway, Indiana <br />on April 18, 19 and 20, 1977. <br />2. Report from Jean Jarvis, Personnel Department, on attendance <br />at Hay Seminar March 23 through 25. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the reports were ordered filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage report for the period of April 18 through <br />22 was received. The report indicated 25 outages. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the report <br />was ordered filed. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. `Vadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />submitted the following,recor:imendations to the Board: <br />1. No parking or stopping first north -south alley west of <br />Taylor and running north from 600 IV. LaSalle (opposite Embell <br />Court). The alley is fourteen feet wide and has two houses <br />on it. <br />2. No Parking on the north side of 600 IV. Marion between Leland <br />and the east property line of 609 W. Marion, an extension of <br />an existing no parking zone to provide for maneuvers from <br />Leland to Chapin via the short service road. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the recommendations were approved. <br />PARADE APPROVED - MAURICE MATTHYS LITTLE LEAGUE <br />Ralph J. wadzinski, Manager, reported he had reviewed the request <br />of the Maurice Matthys Little League to hold a parade on Saturday, <br />May 21. Captain Sweitzer of the Police Depattr_1ent.Traffic Detail <br />was consulted and concurs that approval can be given subject to <br />the indemnification rules of the Board. Arrangements for a police <br />escort are to be made by the organization. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Captain Sweitzer and carried, the Board <br />approved the parade request subject to receipt of the necessary <br />insurance certificate. <br />PARADE APPROVED - HOPE CHAPEL CHURCH OF GOD <br />Ralph J. wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />reported that he had reviewed the request of the Hope Chapel Church <br />of God to hold a parade.on June 11 and had consulted with Captain <br />Sweitzer of the Police Department Traffic Detail. They recommend <br />approval subject to the indemnification rules of the Board. Any <br />arrangements for a police escort are to be made by the organization. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the parade was approved subject to receipt -of the necessary insurance <br />certificate. <br />
