REGULAR MEETING APRIL 25, 1977 CONFERENCE REPORTS FILED The Board received the following conference reports: 1. A report from John DeLee on attendance at the Indiana Association of Building Officials Spring Conference in Speedway, Indiana on April 18, 19 and 20, 1977. 2. Report from Jean Jarvis, Personnel Department, on attendance at Hay Seminar March 23 through 25. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the reports were ordered filed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage report for the period of April 18 through 22 was received. The report indicated 25 outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the report was ordered filed. TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED Ralph J. `Vadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, submitted the following,recor:imendations to the Board: 1. No parking or stopping first north -south alley west of Taylor and running north from 600 IV. LaSalle (opposite Embell Court). The alley is fourteen feet wide and has two houses on it. 2. No Parking on the north side of 600 IV. Marion between Leland and the east property line of 609 W. Marion, an extension of an existing no parking zone to provide for maneuvers from Leland to Chapin via the short service road. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the recommendations were approved. PARADE APPROVED - MAURICE MATTHYS LITTLE LEAGUE Ralph J. wadzinski, Manager, reported he had reviewed the request of the Maurice Matthys Little League to hold a parade on Saturday, May 21. Captain Sweitzer of the Police Depattr_1ent.Traffic Detail was consulted and concurs that approval can be given subject to the indemnification rules of the Board. Arrangements for a police escort are to be made by the organization. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Captain Sweitzer and carried, the Board approved the parade request subject to receipt of the necessary insurance certificate. PARADE APPROVED - HOPE CHAPEL CHURCH OF GOD Ralph J. wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported that he had reviewed the request of the Hope Chapel Church of God to hold a parade.on June 11 and had consulted with Captain Sweitzer of the Police Department Traffic Detail. They recommend approval subject to the indemnification rules of the Board. Any arrangements for a police escort are to be made by the organization. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the parade was approved subject to receipt -of the necessary insurance certificate.
