3. 2 REGULAR METING MARCH 212 197.7 OPENING OF BIDS - TWO FLUSHER8'OR STREET DEPAP.TI ENT This was the date set for receiving bids for two flushers for the Street Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Steel City Ford Company Bid was signed by Leonard Krawczyk, Gary, Indiana non -collusion .affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. Bid - Two 1977 Ford C-8000 Diesel Trucks Unit Price $29,023.47 - Total Bid - $58,046.94 International Harvester Bid was signed by if. A. Grade, South Bend, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. Bid - Two International Co-1850's - $58,394.52 Michiana Mack, Inc. Bid was signed by Ronald I. Delcanp, Mishawaka, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond was subritted. Bid - Two 1977 Mack 1IB487P Trucks Unit Price - $32,224.60 - Total Bid - $64,449.20 Shamrock Ford Trucks Bid was signed by David McCarthy, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 101/0 bid bond was submitted. Bid - Two 1977 Ford C900 Trucks Unit Price - $26,220.00 - Total Bid - $52,440.00 Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bids were referred to the Bureau of Streets and Bureau of Vehicle -Maintenance for review and recommendation. OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES This was the date set for receiving bids for the sale of approximately forty-four abandoned vehicles. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Bush Auto Salvage - Bid: $51.00 per car Bremen Iron & Metal Company - Bid: $2,1612.00 Abe Kowalski - Bid: $450.00 Steve & Gene's - Bid:. $1540.00 Falo Auto Parts - Bid: $51.00 per car Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bids were referred to -the City Controller for review and recommendation. ADDITIONAL BIDS OPENED - STREET MATERIALS Mr. McMahon noted that two bids for Street Materials were received by the City and in the Mail Room by the 9:30 a.m, deadline but were just delivered to the Board. In keeping with past policy regarding such matters, the Board will now open and read the bids. Bitucote Products Co. Letter signed by E. L. Johnson St. Louis, Missouri advising that they would not submit at bid at this time.
