3. 2 <br />REGULAR METING MARCH 212 197.7 <br />OPENING OF BIDS - TWO FLUSHER8'OR STREET DEPAP.TI ENT <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for two flushers for the <br />Street Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of <br />notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which <br />were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened <br />and publicly read: <br />Steel City Ford Company Bid was signed by Leonard Krawczyk, <br />Gary, Indiana non -collusion .affidavit was in order <br />and a 10% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - Two 1977 Ford C-8000 Diesel Trucks <br />Unit Price $29,023.47 - Total Bid - $58,046.94 <br />International Harvester Bid was signed by if. A. Grade, <br />South Bend, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 10% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - Two International Co-1850's - $58,394.52 <br />Michiana Mack, Inc. Bid was signed by Ronald I. Delcanp, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 10% bid bond was subritted. <br />Bid - Two 1977 Mack 1IB487P Trucks <br />Unit Price - $32,224.60 - Total Bid - $64,449.20 <br />Shamrock Ford Trucks Bid was signed by David McCarthy, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 101/0 bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - Two 1977 Ford C900 Trucks <br />Unit Price - $26,220.00 - Total Bid - $52,440.00 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the bids were referred to the Bureau of Streets and Bureau <br />of Vehicle -Maintenance for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the sale of approximately <br />forty-four abandoned vehicles. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri <br />County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids <br />were opened and publicly read: <br />Bush Auto Salvage - Bid: $51.00 per car <br />Bremen Iron & Metal Company - Bid: $2,1612.00 <br />Abe Kowalski - Bid: $450.00 <br />Steve & Gene's - Bid:. $1540.00 <br />Falo Auto Parts - Bid: $51.00 per car <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the bids were referred to -the City Controller for review <br />and recommendation. <br />ADDITIONAL BIDS OPENED - STREET MATERIALS <br />Mr. McMahon noted that two bids for Street Materials were received <br />by the City and in the Mail Room by the 9:30 a.m, deadline but were <br />just delivered to the Board. In keeping with past policy regarding <br />such matters, the Board will now open and read the bids. <br />Bitucote Products Co. Letter signed by E. L. Johnson <br />St. Louis, Missouri advising that they would not submit <br />at bid at this time. <br />
