P.EGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 27, 1976 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m, on Monday, December 27, 1976 by Rollin E. Farrand, with Mr. Farrand and Mr. Mullen present. Deputy City Attorney Georgia Luks was also present. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS I EETITIG APPROVED Tor. Farrand reported that the minutes of the meeting of December 20 had been reviewed and he made a notion that they be approved as subritted. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. Minutes of a special meeting of the Board of Public Works held on December 20 were also reviewed. The purpose of the special meeting was to open a bid for Police Department uniforms received from Zuckerberg's Uniforms, Inc. The bid was postmarked December 18 and was•in the building before the 9:30 a.m, deadline, but was not in : the Board office, Upon r..loti on made by Tyr. Farrand, seconded and carried, the minutes of the special meeting were approved. BID OPE14IIIG - WEIGHTS & 11EASURES VEHICLE This was the date set for receiving bids for a vehicle for the Bureau of Weights & Measures. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Gates Chevrolet Corporation Bid was signed by Garry E. Westfall, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a certified check in the amount of $440 was submitted. Bid - 1 1977 Impala Station Wagon, net with trade •$4,374.00 Freeman Spicer Company, Inc. Bid was signed by J. Spicer, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a bid bond was submitted. Bid - 1 1977 Plymouth Fury Station Wagon, net with trade $4,300.00 TZr. Farrand roved that the bids be referred to the Bureau of Weights & Measures for review and recommendation. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. BID OPENING - BUREAU OF FIFE VEHICLES This was the date set for receiving bids for six vehicles for the Bureau of Fire. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Freeman Spicer Company, Inc. Bid was signed by J. Spicer, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a bid bond was submitted.
