P.EGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 27, 1976 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, December 27, 1976 by Rollin E. Farrand, with <br />Mr. Farrand and Mr. Mullen present. Deputy City Attorney Georgia <br />Luks was also present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS I EETITIG APPROVED <br />Tor. Farrand reported that the minutes of the meeting of December <br />20 had been reviewed and he made a notion that they be approved <br />as subritted. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. <br />Minutes of a special meeting of the Board of Public Works held on <br />December 20 were also reviewed. The purpose of the special <br />meeting was to open a bid for Police Department uniforms received <br />from Zuckerberg's Uniforms, Inc. The bid was postmarked December <br />18 and was•in the building before the 9:30 a.m, deadline, but <br />was not in : the Board office, Upon r..loti on made by Tyr. Farrand, <br />seconded and carried, the minutes of the special meeting were <br />approved. <br />BID OPE14IIIG - WEIGHTS & 11EASURES VEHICLE <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for a vehicle for the <br />Bureau of Weights & Measures. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were <br />opened and publicly read: <br />Gates Chevrolet Corporation Bid was signed by Garry E. <br />Westfall, non -collusion <br />affidavit was in order and <br />a certified check in the <br />amount of $440 was submitted. <br />Bid - 1 1977 Impala Station Wagon, net with trade •$4,374.00 <br />Freeman Spicer Company, Inc. Bid was signed by J. Spicer, <br />non -collusion affidavit was <br />in order and a bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid - 1 1977 Plymouth Fury Station Wagon, net with trade $4,300.00 <br />TZr. Farrand roved that the bids be referred to the Bureau of <br />Weights & Measures for review and recommendation. Mr. Mullen <br />seconded the motion and it carried. <br />BID OPENING - BUREAU OF FIFE VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for six vehicles for the <br />Bureau of Fire. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found <br />to be sufficient.
