AGENDA REVIEW SESSION OCTOBER 20, 2016 327 <br />The Agenda Review Session of the Board of Public Works was convened at 10:32 a.m. on <br />October 20, 2016, by Board Member Elizabeth Maradik with Board Members Therese Dorao, <br />James Mueller, and Suzanna Fritzberg present. Board President Gary A. Gilot was absent. Also <br />Present was Attorney Michael Schmidt. The meeting was held in the 13`" Floor Boardroom, <br />County -City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, Indiana. Board of Public Works <br />Clerk, Linda Martin, presented the Board with a proposed agenda of items presented by the <br />public and by City Staff. <br />OPENING OF BIDS — JMS BUILDING NEW NORTH STAIR TOWER — PROJECT NO. 116- <br />098 (RWDA TIF) <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of scaled bids for the above referenced project. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Iri- <br />County News, which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />HGR GROUP INC <br />1932 Churchill Dr. <br />South Bend, IN 46617 <br />Bid was signed by: Harold Reinke <br />Contractor's Non -Collusion Affidavit, Non -Debarment Affidavit, Certification Regarding <br />Investment with Iran, Employment Eligibility Verification, Non -Discrimination <br />Commitment for Contractors and Certification of Use of United States Steel Products or <br />Foundry Products was submitted. <br />Five percent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: $497,097.00 <br />7GEN CONSTRUCTION LLC. <br />921 South Main Street <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Bid was signed by: Brian Blight <br />Contractor's Non -Collusion Affidavit, Non -Debarment Affidavit, Certification Regarding <br />Investment with Iran, Employment Eligibility Verification, Non -Discrimination <br />Commitment for Contractors and Certification of Use of United States Steel Products or <br />Foundry Products was submitted. <br />Five percent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: $987,000.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Doran, seconded by Mr. Mueller and carried, the above bids were <br />referred to Community Investment and Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS — RANDOLPH STREET BASIN EMERGENCY REPAIRS — <br />PROJECT NO 116-083D (COIT) <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed quotations for <br />the above referenced project. Attorney Schmidt stated these three (3) requests for quotes on the <br />agenda were done based on the emergency situation statute. The following quotations were <br />opened and read: <br />SELGE CONSTRUCTION CO.
