It is a three (3) year agreement, so this is the third
and final year we'll have to approve an ordinance that approves the agreement.
Council Attorney Cekanski-Farrand stated that state law states that it is an annual pay salary, and
this is required by the state law language, so no one has the opportunity to contest whether or not
you confirmed what the tentative agreement was three (3) years ago.
Committee Chair Voorde stated that when you enter a labor agreement, you can only actually
fund one (1) year of the agreement at the time.
Council Attorney Cekanski-Farrand explained that part of the agreement also made modest
adjustments.
Committeemember Broden moved for a favorable of recommendation for Bill No. 55 -16,
Committeemember White seconded and it carried by voice vote of four (4) ayes.
With no other items on the agenda, Committee Chair Voorde adjourned the meeting.
455 County-City Building • 227 W.
