MAIN <br />UILOW <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 28. 1981 <br />$18,765.49, was the difference between the amount paid by insurance <br />and medicare, and the actual amount billed when the city was on <br />consignment. Mrs. Petz advised,that additional claims would be <br />written off in the future. Mr.. Kernan explained that Board.action <br />was being requested to write off these uncolle�,tible accounts in <br />response to a concern of the State Board of Accounts over the <br />uncollectible.accounts. He stated that the writing off of these <br />accounts was in addition to the utilization of a collection agency <br />in attempting to collect the accounts prior to writing them off. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the request to write off the amount of $18,765.49 from <br />the accounts receivable ledgers for uncollectible ambulance <br />accounts was approved. <br />APPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A request was received from the Neighborhood Code Enforcement <br />Office for permission to have city environmental crews clean the <br />following lots within the city: <br />737 Blaine <br />122 E. Broadway <br />728 Cleveland <br />911 Cottage Grove <br />915 Cottage Grove <br />725-727 N. Cushing <br />811 Diamond <br />625 Fellows <br />1808 Florence <br />1816 Florence <br />912 Harrison <br />1315 W. Jefferson <br />121 N. Sadie <br />616 Sherman <br />328 S. Taylor <br />803 N. St. Peter <br />It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up <br />the above lots and had failed to comply. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request <br />was approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the following handicapped parking permits were <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for <br />issuance: -� <br />Frank Simon, 1218 S. Twyckenham, S.B. <br />Leo L. Niezgodski, 629 N. Johnson, S.B. <br />Michael J. Pecsi, 17260 Douglas, S.B. <br />Robert Ungurait, 410 Ostemo, S.B. <br />Jane E. Moore, 1230 Fairington, Apt. 219, S.B. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA <br />Consortium, submitted P. 0. No. 292 through No. 323 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the claims were approved. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />J� n E.
