MAIN UILOW REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 28. 1981 $18,765.49, was the difference between the amount paid by insurance and medicare, and the actual amount billed when the city was on consignment. Mrs. Petz advised,that additional claims would be written off in the future. Mr.. Kernan explained that Board.action was being requested to write off these uncolle�,tible accounts in response to a concern of the State Board of Accounts over the uncollectible.accounts. He stated that the writing off of these accounts was in addition to the utilization of a collection agency in attempting to collect the accounts prior to writing them off. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request to write off the amount of $18,765.49 from the accounts receivable ledgers for uncollectible ambulance accounts was approved. APPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS A request was received from the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office for permission to have city environmental crews clean the following lots within the city: 737 Blaine 122 E. Broadway 728 Cleveland 911 Cottage Grove 915 Cottage Grove 725-727 N. Cushing 811 Diamond 625 Fellows 1808 Florence 1816 Florence 912 Harrison 1315 W. Jefferson 121 N. Sadie 616 Sherman 328 S. Taylor 803 N. St. Peter It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up the above lots and had failed to comply. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the following handicapped parking permits were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance: -� Frank Simon, 1218 S. Twyckenham, S.B. Leo L. Niezgodski, 629 N. Johnson, S.B. Michael J. Pecsi, 17260 Douglas, S.B. Robert Ungurait, 410 Ostemo, S.B. Jane E. Moore, 1230 Fairington, Apt. 219, S.B. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA Consortium, submitted P. 0. No. 292 through No. 323 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the claims were approved. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m. ATTEST: J� n E.
