132 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 16, 1981 <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 25, 1981 (SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 25, 1981 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend <br />has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property <br />owned by the City of South Bend, Indiana; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said inventory <br />of real property and it finds that certain of the parcels of <br />real estate now owned by the City of South Bend are not <br />necessary to the public use and are not set aside by state <br />and city laws for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the <br />necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in the <br />future, to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to <br />State Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That the parcels of real estate owned by the city <br />contained in the following list are not necessary <br />to the public use and are not set aside by state <br />or city law for public purposes: <br />1004 Sorin <br />2418 Linden <br />526 E. Milton <br />1001 W. LaSalle <br />316 & 410 E. South <br />424, 508, 510 E. Byers, Clerk <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above resolution was adopted. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE TO RECEIVE BIDS <br />FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES <br />Fire Chief Timothy J. Brassell requested permission from the Board <br />to advertise to receive bids for two 1982 Automatic, V-6, 4-door <br />Sedans, for the department's two riding chiefs. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />request was approved. It was noted that bids would be received <br />for the automobiles at the December 7, 1981, Board meeting. <br />APPROVE RECOMMENDATION TO DENY TAXI DRIVER LICENSE <br />Mr. Kernan submitted his recommendation to deny a taxi driver's <br />license for Larry A. Kilcoyne, 1203 East Indiana Avenue, based <br />upon the Police Department's investigation which revealed that <br />the applicant's driver's license was suspended. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, <br />the recommendation to deny the license was approved, and the <br />Clerk was instructed to so inform Mr. Kilcoyne of the Board's <br />decision and his right to a hearing. Mr. Kernan abstained <br />from voting. <br />
