REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 26, 1981
APPROVAL OF CLAIMS
Chief Deputy.Controller Sherrie L. Petz submitted Claim Docket No.
18843 through No. 19393 and recommended approval. Upon a motion
made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the
report was filed and the claims approved.
REQUEST OF PROPERTY OWNER TO ELIMINATE SEWAGE CHARGE
Mr. Leslie Doty, 3502 Lincolnway West, stated that he had not
yet received a response to the request he made to the Board of
Works on August 17, 1981, concerning the possible elimination
of his sewage charge. He again advised that he was not hooked
up to the city's sewage system because the line would have to
be extended across Lincolnway. Mr. Leszczynski stated that
the Engineering Department was in the process of trying to
determine if there was another sewer on the same side of
Lincolnway in Mr. Doty's immediate vicinity. Mr. Doty stated
that there was not an available sewer system on his side of
Lincolnway. Mr. Leszczynksi stated that he would contact Mr.
Doty within a few days concerning his request.
REQUEST CONCERNING AGENDA FORMAT
Mr. Doty also asked if the Board would be more specific on agenda
items when the agenda is posted. He stated that, from just
glancing at the agenda, it was not known what the various items
pertained to. Mr. Hill stated that the agenda is prepared to be
as concise but as brief as possible. He advised Mr. Doty if,
after the agenda is posted on the Friday afternoon preceding the
meeting, and he had any questions concerning specific items
included thereon, all he needed to do was check with the Clerk
of the Board and the appropriate information would be available
to him. Mr. Doty wondered why the Board had added certain items
to its agenda. Mr. Leszczynski explained that the Board has a
12:00 noon deadline for agenda items on Friday and, sometimes it
is not possible to have all the material available and it is not
feasible to hold those items for another week until the next
Board meeting.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and
carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
ATTEST:
Barbara J.
