REGULAR MEETING
REQUEST OF PROPERTY OWNER TO ELIMINATE SEWAGE CHARGE
AUGUST 17, 1981
Mr. Leslie Doty, 3502 Lincolnway West, explained that, since 1948,
he had been paying charges for sewer and water on his residence
even though he had a septic tank which he was using. He stated
that he had not hooked up to the city's sewage system at that
time because the charge for hook-up only had been about $3,000
because the line had to be extended across Lincolnway. Since
that time, he has paid for the water and sewer although he has
not hooked up to the sewer system. He explained that he could
not afford to continue paying for the sewer system on his
retirement income and asked that the sewage charge be eliminated.
Mr. Leszczynski advised Mr. Doty that his office would look into
the matter and inform Mr. Doty of the city's position at some
future date.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a
motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried,
the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
- 2 Z',
J hn E.
