S. 31 <br />Lakeville, Indiana <br />$517,321.00 <br />AUGUST 3, 1981 <br />Bid was signed by Mark Haskins, non - <br />collusion affidavit was in order, <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the engineer's estimate on the above <br />project was $496,000.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bids were referred to the <br />Engineering Department for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVAL OF HOUSE MOVE - 706 OLIVE STREET TO <br />58790 LOCUST ROAD (3402 S. OLIVE) <br />Mr. Timothy Lykowski of Lykowski Construction Company was present <br />and explained that St. Mary's Assumption Church desired to have a <br />house moved from 706 Olive Street to 58790 Locust Road, utilizing <br />Olive Street to Locust Road and on to the destination. It was <br />noted that adjacent property owners had been notified of the <br />proposed house move. When questioned by Mr. Leszczynski concerning <br />�. the site plan, Mr. Lykowski explained that, because soil tests were <br />still being conducted on the site and it was not yet known exactly <br />where the house would be permanently stationed, the site plan was <br />not available. He advised that all necessary documentation would <br />G[ be submitted to the Board prior to the issuance of the actual permit <br />from the Building Department. Mr. Leszczynski stated that the <br />Building Department and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting had <br />reviewed the house move request and had no objection. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, <br />the house move was approved utilizing the above route, subject to <br />the filing of the required site plan. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3511, 1981 CONFIRMED (ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL) <br />This was the date set for holding a public hearing on Vacation <br />Resolution No. 3511, 1981, for the vacation of the north nine feet <br />of the South half (S2) of Lot Numbered 286, Cottrell's Addition to. <br />the Town of Lowell, now a part of the City of South Bend. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />It was noted that a notice had been sent to all.property owners in <br />the vicinity of the proposed vacation and letters had been received <br />from the Area Plan Commission, Community Development Department and <br />Engineering Department indicating there was no objection to the <br />proposed vacation. Mr. Robert Mysliwiec, the attorney representing <br />the Saint Joseph's Medical Center, and practicing at 1800 American <br />National Bank Building, stated that the petition for vacation had <br />been filed because, in 1893, a nine -foot alley had been dedicated; <br />however, it had not ever been officially recorded. He stated that <br />the hospital and medical center desired to clear title in order to <br />proceed with expansion and completion of the parking lot for the <br />facility. There was no,one present to remonstrate against the <br />vacation and no written remonstrances had been received. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the Board confirmed the Vacation Resolution and ordered preparation <br />of the Assessment Roll to be filed on August 10, 1981. <br />APPROVAL OF ASSESSMENT ROLL NO. 2987 (IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION <br />NO. 3499, 1980, FELLOWS STREET IMPROVEMENTS) <br />This being the date set, -hearing was held on the Assessment Roll <br />for the Fellows Street curb, pavement and sewer improvements .from <br />Walter Street to 150 feet south of Barbie Street, authorized under <br />Improvement Resolution No. 3499, 1980, adopted by the Board on <br />October 6, 1980. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of <br />notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which <br />were found to be sufficient. Mr. Leszczynski stated that the total <br />cost of the improvement as petitioned by Midwest Turnkey Builders <br />and Miller Builders was $40,322.40, with the final assessment to <br />
