394 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 10, 1983 <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS <br />COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Craig E. Hartzer, Administrative <br />Assistant to the Mayor, requested that the Board authorize <br />advertising for bids for computer equipment for the City of <br />South Bend. Mr. Kernan advised that the bids to be received <br />will be for an office automation system for five City Depart- <br />ments with an estimated cost of $90,000.00 to $95,000.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the above request was aprpoved and October 31, <br />1983 set as the date that sealed bids will be received and <br />opened by the Board. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the following three (3) handicapped parking <br />permit applications were approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's Office for issuance of permits: <br />Ben Turnock, 3003 Easton, Mish. <br />Richard Piechoski, 905 E. Battell, Mish. <br />Helen Dentino, 728 N. Studebaker, Mish. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BONDS <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., Engineering Department, recommended <br />that the following Contractor's Bonds be cancelled effective <br />this date: <br />1. Jeffrey Fadden <br />2. John Lichnerowicz <br />3. Shamrock Exteriors <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the above referred to Contractor's Bonds were <br />released. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating <br />that a total of eighty-five (85) properties and alleys were <br />cleaned from October 3, 1983 to October 7, 1983 was submitted. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the above report was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA <br />Consortium, submitted a list containing one hundred twenty-. <br />seven (127) purchase orders and recommended approval for <br />payment. Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz, submitted <br />Claim Docket No. 19896 through Claim Docket No. 20507 and <br />recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above reports were <br />filed and the claims approved. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m. <br />
