394 REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 10, 1983 APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND In a letter to the Board, Mr. Craig E. Hartzer, Administrative Assistant to the Mayor, requested that the Board authorize advertising for bids for computer equipment for the City of South Bend. Mr. Kernan advised that the bids to be received will be for an office automation system for five City Depart- ments with an estimated cost of $90,000.00 to $95,000.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above request was aprpoved and October 31, 1983 set as the date that sealed bids will be received and opened by the Board. APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the following three (3) handicapped parking permit applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of permits: Ben Turnock, 3003 Easton, Mish. Richard Piechoski, 905 E. Battell, Mish. Helen Dentino, 728 N. Studebaker, Mish. APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BONDS Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., Engineering Department, recommended that the following Contractor's Bonds be cancelled effective this date: 1. Jeffrey Fadden 2. John Lichnerowicz 3. Shamrock Exteriors Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above referred to Contractor's Bonds were released. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating that a total of eighty-five (85) properties and alleys were cleaned from October 3, 1983 to October 7, 1983 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above report was filed. APPROVE CLAIMS Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA Consortium, submitted a list containing one hundred twenty-. seven (127) purchase orders and recommended approval for payment. Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz, submitted Claim Docket No. 19896 through Claim Docket No. 20507 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above reports were filed and the claims approved. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
